Boot trim alignment and sticker mark issues

Both door cards are being replaced. The marks could not be removed. SC said they have replaced several door cards for this reason!

    Sentry Mode Windscreen Heating Elements

Good points. Thank you. I did take another photo (below) and it does appear that there is a strip at the top on the near side which had also defrosted. Unfortunately, I was concentrating on the camera area and didn't check the A post. I'll try again tonight.

    Sentry Mode Windscreen Heating Elements

Thank you for the replies. I'm referring to the lower section of the heating elements which are still covered in frost. Is the element actually in two sections so that only the top area is switched on in sentry mode?

    Sentry Mode Windscreen Heating Elements

I switched on sentry mode last night as an experiment on my 2021 M3 LR. This morning, the door pillar cameras were clear of ice, but I noticed that only the area of the windscreen above the cameras was clear of frost, just about uncovering the front facing cameras. The heating elements under...

    Condensation in front fog lights

Thank you exlatccatsa. Interesting but a little sad if it is necessary for us to remedy production issues! Like yourself, I will add it to the list of issues for the SC to address and will see what they say.

    Condensation in front fog lights

Hi. I wondered whether Tesla indicated whether they were willing to replace your fog lights under warranty? My car also has this issue, hence I was wondering whether it is worth adding to the list of faults to be fixed.

Boot trim alignment and sticker mark issues

Sadly, IPA doesnt work. It does look as if it is the surface of the door card that has been damaged when the sticker was removed. Oh well, another item to add to the list for the service centre! LOL

Boot trim alignment and sticker mark issues

Has anybody successfully been able to clean the mark left by the sticker on the door card? I suspect as mentioned by crouchy, the stcker has actually pulled off part of the vinyl.

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

I wondered if the two bolts where the hinge join the door allow any lateral movement. If so, that would allow the door to move in/out in relation to the front wing. The posts in this thread appear to show that there is some adjustment possible It doesn't look too bad. However, if there is room...

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

Sad to say that my gap is bigger - 5.08 mm !! Also have an issue with the tops of both front doors being inset and flaking paint on the NS sill. Car is booked into the service centre in late Jan.

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

Further to my previous post, I phoned Tesla to check how to deal with bodywork issues. They advised to book in via the app as they have a bodyshop in house. As the Winchester Service Centre is not listed on the app, they asked that I mention in the notes that Winchester is preferred and they...

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

When I picked up my M3LR last week, it was raining so it wasn't possible to fully check the paintwork etc. Having looked over the car today, in addition to the missing mudflaps (reported at collection) and misaligned front doors, there is a nasty chip 10mm x 5mm on the nearside sill down to the...

    2020 Q4 'M' delivery club

Collected my M3LR yesterday. A few issues on collection - the car was still in transit mode and there were no stone guards / mudflaps fitted. When I queried, they went to fit them and then found they had none available and they had been missed off the other M3's that were awaiting collection! A...

2021 UK Model 3 Revised Headlights

Could this be one of the features Elon is bringing to us "we said we wanted" ie adaptive headlights or cornering functionality? It certainly appears that the units have the ability to shape the beam.

2021 UK Model 3 Revised Headlights

Interesting video posted today comparing the light outputs of the 2021 Model 3 to the old version. A very different light distribution and the possibility of cornering functionality to be added?
