    Yellow border on screen... again...

Just took my MX 100D in for annual service today here in the UK, and as part of that wanted to have my MCU replaced -- it has the dreaded yellow band. They keep replacing them with new versions and the issue comes back, as some others have reported here..... They told me they've now determined...

£100k for a car. But clearly no sense at all.

I was Ice’d by these nice chaps at a supercharger in northern france last week. Although they took 6 stalls between them, I wasn’t about to ask them to move...!

    V9 in the UK - 2018.42.2

Got my update like some others this week. It’s ok not great, silimar comments eg size of car in main instrument cluster is small. Not seeing any comments about autopilot however. For me a big step back, and have had to switch it off places wher it used to be dead reliable. Hunting within the...

Direct line - driving in EU

Hi, current DL customer with my MX, we travel to Europe regularly from here in the UK. 3rd party only, unless you pay. We did a month this summer for something like £75 which is their one-month fee? It extends your full policy to the EU, so full cover. Does add up, when you consider a number...

Model X Crash on US-101 (Mountain View, CA)

Very helpful discussion above. Owner of a MX 100D based in the UK. First thing to say is that we have much better road design here in Europe, can’t imagine something like that existing. I use AP all the time on highways here as well as around town and in general find it adds to safety (when used...

Westfield SC closed for 2 weeks

Went to Westfield this past weekend 14 Jan and still closed. Chaps at the Tesla shop said it might be 21 Jan or 28 Jan before it reopens. Btw have never had an issue with accessing the spaces, find them quite roomy even in my MX! Don’t forget to get your parking ticket validated at Tesla...

From the UK, Planning a Trip through France

We live in london and have a house in france, routinely do the trip across the channel 1x / month or so. First, supercharging network is great. Depending on where you are going, you can possibly manage with just that and then charge at your destination (where speed is less of an issue). I...

    Model X 100D total Range

Such great info above! Like you I was totally surprised (disappointed?) when my first day I drove my MX 100D it was on a mostly motorway road trip and I was expecting 350 miles but got 220. Over the last 4 months of ownership I’ve got to understand how the car works so much better. Regen is...

    UK tax incentive issue

Agree with@tonyj01 if you can somehow figure out how to have the company buy it outright with no finance, you get the 100% write off in the 1st year and no BIK. If feasible, you could lend the company funds yourself either through a directors loan or sacrifice of dividends for eg. It’s like you...

Multi storey car parking in a Model X

Definitely trickier than in my previous car which was a LR Discovery..... but I've managed. Last weekend I conquered the multi-storey car park behind Harrods, which has to be one of the worst if anyone else has seen it you'll know what I'm talking about!

    Insurance UK

Yup, I got a better quote from the dedicated line, by about 7-8%. For one, the normal line does not know to apply the "autopilot discount". If your car is equipped, you get 5% off. Apparently insurers agree that it's safer.

    UK quality and discounts

Here's the one I was thinking of: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/attachments/teslamodelxchecklist-mid-april-2017-pdf.222813/ Which is the latest from this thread: Model X Delivery Checklist A long list! But not much on here applied to my car, think the quality is getting better.....

LTD company too good to be true?

To avoid tax on sale, just roll it into a new car -- effectively a permanent deferral.
