FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I wasn't asking about FSD stats in general just if anyone knew if there were any fatalities and serious injuries. Fatalities would likely make the press. I haven't seen any reporting in the press or this forum of a fatality. A simple question.

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Any reason why you didn't attempt to answer the actual question? Do we know of any fatalities with 1 billion FSD miles driven? Or for that matter serious injuries? The run rate is now another billion miles driven every 68 days. Tesla FSD users pass 1.3 billion cumulative miles National...

With 1 billion miles driven on FSD and growing quickly do we know if there have been any fatalities?

Projecting one negative experience as a trend is silly. My son and son-in-law are now both considering subscribing to FSD after using the free trial offer. Previously both had negative experiences as passengers in my car using FSD V11. Projecting my example as a trend would be equally silly...

    FSD now $8,000. Who's buying?

Without intervention not a chance.. Without disengagement unlikely but I bet you could do it with 5-10. Remember almost all driving would be on the highway and if you waited until V12 is available on highways you'd be in a much better position. I've driven for hours at a time on the highway...

Have you ridden in the backseat with someone else driving V12 FSD? It's an interesting experience and provides a different perspective. Of course if you just seat in the backseat and try and critique the driver and FSD it's not that worthwhile.

L3 is getting more interest as you can see by this popular podcaster. (Farzad) Owners are beginning to wonder how FSD can actually help them and L3 is the best chance in the near term. Let's hope BYD offers L3 pushing Tesla to respond.

    FSD now $8,000. Who's buying?

MB offering is a complete joke so let's ignore that for now. And for now let's put aside whether Tesla will accept liability. There is no reason Tesla couldn't add a graceful handoff for edge cases like coming up to an accident scene or police officers directing traffic with hand gestures...

You'll likely see L3 at a higher subscription price before any full autonomy is available. I think there is a growing expectation that L3 is a reasonable interim step knowing L4/L5 is not going to be available except for the dedicated autonomy vehicle which will be fleet based.

Like the B-pillar cameras would be sufficient :)

It's difficult because speed limit signs are not a reliable way to determine your speed even with offsets and settings to help FSD. Just compare normal traffic speed to posted mph signs. So I don't see why you would think controlling speed is "dramatically simpler" with AI. Just look at all...

I use FSD at night on the highway all the time. No problems for me. Rain or shine doesn't matter. Model Y (HW4)

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Everyone who follows this thread knows that so I took that into consideration. I just don't believe I would have been uncomfortable if I was in the car. I've watch hundreds of other videos where I felt uncomfortable just like the driver. Could Tesla improve this behavior of course but that...

Yup speed control needs improvement, but I just didn't find your videos all that egregious and none that I was uncomfortable with. There are way more important improvements for FSD.
