I got the same "We plan to build and deliver your Model Y in September" text. I also got the trade-in offer a few days ago. It came it at the bottom end of the estimate range from the beginning of August. I think we're about 99% sure we'll go with a private sale or another car buying service...

There is an event data recorder (EDR, or black box) in the Model 3. If the airbags didn't deploy, I'm not sure it would have triggered. You would think that it should. Tesla would know for sure. If it did, it would store the state of the car for the last 10 seconds (maybe a bit longer) before...
