Probably right...in Georgia the ad valorem tax is combined with sales tax so your not paying registration fees every year...but then you have to pay a $200 a year penalty for owning an EV

I would definitely opt to pick mine up at the Freemont Factory if it meant not having to pay sales tax

I hate to keep beating a dead horse here but it appears Tesla changed there website again from the Supercharging capable that was seen yesterday to just Supercharging today....What's it all mean? We may not know until part 2

I've changed my tune a little bit...I pretty much want the same thing as you with the exception that I would have to have supercharging..I really wouldn't mind paying 1K...at first I was thinking leather seats and no AWD but I won't be able to resist the extra power...

I have seen so many articles stating incorrect facts on this very subject. CNN money posted an article today saying a lot of the people who preordered would not be getting the tax. It doesn't matter to me whether I get the tax or not because I wouldn't put it towards the cost of the car anyways...
