    Model 3 Dimensions

Yeah we better just wait for Elon to tell us. I've tried estimating the width from different photos but kept getting wildly different figures so I've given up speculating!

    RN vs Country

Australia - RN10888XXXX Reserved online as soon as it opened. Doesn't seem like the RN is country-specific so far except for China. Maybe they have a different code for another reason? 8 for lucky number??

    Model 3 Dimensions

A little more difficult with the width of the Model 3. Length is easy as wheels are a comparable element. To estimate the width the only thing we have is the height. So if we can estimate the height of the car (using a side profile comparison of a similar height car) we could get an idea of the...

    Model 3 Dimensions

Further to the S3 Sedan comparison, I did one for the F30 3 Series. The 3 Series photo I used has 18" wheels. The cars are aligned by the front wheels. It's interesting that the wheelbases are actually very similar, as well as the front overhang. The Model 3's windscreen is more forward and more...

    Model 3 Dimensions

I think this is a good comparison of the Model 3's size. I compared it to a photo of the updated Audi S3 Sedan just released today, taken from the same side angle. Knowing the S3 has 19" alloy wheels, and assuming the Model 3 has 20", I scaled the photos accordingly. I did 2 comparisons. In the...

Tesla, this is what the production Model 3 should look like

The greenhouse reduction definitely does make the car look lower and sleeker. The original car's side window profile is a tad big/tall for the car's proportions. I understand it would be to provide more headroom for the rear passengers, since the rear seats are elevated to make room for the...

Tesla, this is what the production Model 3 should look like

I think the original design as grown on me over the past few days. But I think some subtle changes might improve it. Here I've kept most of the original elements and refined the details - the lip of the snout is slightly lower, at the same height as the contour under the headlights. Increased...

    Grill Me!

Having a play in Photoshop. Haven't changed the shape of the snout but just added a 'fake' grille - straight from an Aston Martin which seems to fit in that bumper almost perfectly.
