UPDATE: Liner in the trunk had to be ordered because it was "Deformed" or permanently bent. Not even sure how that happens, but apparently there are no clips that keep the liner in place. It's just tucked in. Regarding, sensor wires being exposed when they replaced the bumper, I got tired of...

This is great, thanks for posting this. I wish I had something like this when I got my Model S last month. Although some of my issues were so blatantly horrible you can't miss it. I would recommend that you also inspect the windshield in the sun or different lighting. Some things don't show up...

Glad to hear. Your new Y looks great. I read somewhere that the Ys will generally have lower quality issues due to the way it's built.

Good luck! Getting the manufacturing lines back into a rhythm is going to take time. Tesla needs to make an extra effort to fix these defects 100%!

Ha! That's what they said to me too. They actually use that verbatim in the service summary PDF. Does anyone know if there is an official "spec" document? Unless there is an obvious safety issue I imagine it's subjective.

Sorry you have the same problem. I just received my Model S in early May (built in mid March) and had the same issue. There were a few scratches on the bumper too. They decided to replace the entire bumper so something must have been "off-spec" enough for them to do that. The gaps were fixed...

Agree, there are certain issues like gaps and fit that are not worth addressing.

The chip was probably from transport, there already was some touch paint so it's obvious the delivery team tried to fix it and hoped I wouldn't notice. The clear coat overspray on the windsheild and hood should have been caught
