Which do you prefer - old center console or new center console

I'm looking forward to the day automakers stop putting in these ridiculously large center consoles that take away precious drivers knee and leg room. The model S previously was the best but they added what looks like a model 3 center console to ruin it. Praying that they keep the center console...

Supercharger - Lake Arrowhead, CA (permit submitted, 8 V3 stalls)

I blasted some emails off to various big bear city departments about the fact there is no real public EV chargers available. They claim Public services and Mountain Transit is working on getting some chargers installed. The city manager also responded with this on Nov 11 2020. "Plans are for...

How does the temperature control work?

More like 12 years since people started asking for it in 2008 with the roadster.

Tips for getting used to regen?

Luckily you have easy access to charging and don't care about range. Some like myself without home or workplace charging with an 80 mile daily commute in traffic laden cities like los angeles want to conserve every bit of range. Not to mention wasting electricity is not ideal for the planet or...

    Additional batteries and second charger

This guy drove 407 miles in a model X while towing his camper trailer built on top of a battery pack directly connected to the car. Granted his average speed was only 53 miles/hour but he was towing a camper trailer at the same time and still had a 7% charge at the end!

How many kWH will be used in CAMP MODE

A lot of people/morons think wearing a surgical mask forces you to breathe unsafe cO2 levels and wrecks gods perfect breathing system.

Received check from Tesla with no explanation!

Shot in the dark, maybe it's a partial reimbursement for any unused free supercharger miles that they recently expired for a lot of cars at the end of June? I had over 2000 left on my M3 and got a refund of 68.27. That's about half the price of what I would pay at the supercharger for those...

    Air conditioning issues

Not sure about the MY but the M3 and every other Tesla constantly uses the cabin heater to maintain the 1 temp setpoint. It doesn't appear able to adjust the cooling AC to the cabin and is either just on or off so the cabin heater is used to keep the temp from going too low.

    Air conditioning issues

It sounds like the Y has to moderate the cooling from the system AC the same way model 3 does. At least you get a heat pump where the has to use the PTC cabin heater. So to ensure you don't use the heater when all you really want to do is cool the car is to set the temp to LO and adjust the temp...

Citations for charging our car at Yellowstone

Looking at plugshare the old faithfull 14-50 outlets look like they are good to be used. Hearing the opposite of this now makes the few other spots now questionable. Can you let me know what spots you know of or what source you used to get the info?

    California plant reopening

Covid19 has only really had a month or 2 of being firmly in the wild in the US. You can't compare the yearly rates of other diseases to covid19 yet since covid19 has not been here that long. If you look at the daily average it's the leading cause of death in the US. It may not be the case for...

Powder Coating Aero Wheels - Any Cap Issues?

I am looking at doing my aero wheels with some type of chrome finish. These look kind of awesome, sent a message to see if they were powder coated. 4 X Chrome Hubcaps Caps Rim Cover For Tesla Model 3 2016-2019 18"Wheel Hub | eBay

    turn off heater?

I agree, since most vehicles don't have an electric heater onboard and Tesla is the king of vehicle tech I think adding a digital thermostat function would be a fairly simple thing that would kick ass as well as save energy.

Ultimate MCU Mods - Combining HDMI Input + Front Camera Kit

Anybody know if something similar would work on the M3?
