    Tesla Insurance Claim Check Bounced

If you end up getting stacks of hundred dollar bills, make sure you take a careful look at Franklin's face. If it looks a lot like Elon, then they screwed you over again. Seriously, hope you get a legit check this time!

    Tesla ContiSilent tire quote

One word of warning - The Conti warranty is a bit ambiguous when purchasing directly from the car manufacturer. That's because the warranty does not apply to OEM tires that come with the car. I ran into this problem when I purchased a tire from Tesla service, only to have it get a sidewall tear...

Blog Watch the Model 3 Assembly Line in Action at Giga Shanghai

Damn, the ground breaking was on Jan 7, 2019 with first Model 3 productions in late Dec 2019. Has there ever been such a fast turn around in car manufacturing? Amazing that there has been so little US side press on this.

I don’t understand your snipe. I am neither a reporter or government official.

Tesla And SpaceX Have First COVID-19 Cases Confirmed

I am not touching politics on this. None of your quotes say the guidelines are going to be lifted by April. I have my opinions of how long we will be in lockdown but I don’t report my opinion as news.

Tesla And SpaceX Have First COVID-19 Cases Confirmed

"In the US, where cases are currently at 92,932, the government says it plans to end the lockdown by Easter." That is 100% false as of 3/28/20. There is a desire to restart the economy as soon as possible but nothing has been decided. Furthermore, if there is an easing of restrictions, it will...

    MCU Yellow Border - Fixed!

Santa Clara, CA SC can has the UV tool. Got my screen treated last week when I went in for an unrelated service. I just asked them if they had it when I checked in and they simply added it to the work order. I never got advanced notice.

Do NOT upgrade your MX to HW3, for now at least.

On HW3, and latest sw release. No problems at all.

Model X and Continental Tires Warranty

I just went through a very confusing and frustrating tire warranty and here is what I learned: 1) The tires that originally came with your MX have no warranty at all. 2) If you buy replacement Continental tires from Tesla, there is no warranty from Tesla. 3) If you contact Continental tires...

Finally!!!! Tesla installing BioWeapon Defense Mode for non PUP owners

Double check your order confirmation. I am 99% sure I went to the Model X section of the Tesla Store and visually saw the correct filter image when I placed my order. However my confirmation email says Model S upgrade and the image is very different. I don't own a Model S so had no reason to...

    Ordered! MYP

Very important distinction. If Tesla would classify this as a deposit, then they cannot recognize it as revenue in 2019, but only when the car is delivered in 2020. By saying this is a pre-order payment for other "activities and cost" then they can recognize the $2500 revenue now.

What does a Model Y deposit get you??

It was a bigger deal with the Model 3 because Tesla sales people were telling folks the full $7500 federal tax credit was a risk to run out by June 2018. Also, there was a lot of demand for a lower priced Tesla so a lot of folks wanted to be first to own. Neither of the above is a factor for...

Tesla Debuts Model Y Crossover SUV – 7 Seats, 300 Miles of Range

That's cool. I'm guessing you got the full tax credit which definitely brings the cost down significantly. At the end of the day, it's all personal choice and what you are willing to trade off. Again, the point of my post before things went sideways was to say that comparing the price of a...
