    Tesla Alignment wrong from factory?

If you guys see a similar post of mine it's because I've lost it 3x somewhere! But I want to weigh in here with some good info. I took my Model Y to a performance alignment shop. The guys there said that many cars, especially Teslas seem to leave the factory with just passable alignments. Teslas...

    Post-Delivery Alignment Check

My performance alignment guys tells me that many cars, especially Teslas come for the factory with alignment problems. They do just enough to get them out the door. Teslas are looked upon as a high performance automobile (rightfully so I think). Even though I had no uneven wear, I noticed my...

    Tesla Alignment wrong from factory?

According to my performance alignment guys, this is a common problem with Tesla. Teslas are looked upon as a performance automobile. Even though I had no uneven wear, my steering wheel was slightly off center. I took my Model Y to a performance race car shop. These shops service the needs of...

    Steering wheel crooked after alignment

I live in the US, but I think the principle still applies. Teslas are looked upon as a performance automobile. Even though I had no uneven wear, I took my Model Y to a performance race car shop. These shops service the needs of track and street, factory race cars. The alignment was perfect...

A close call with running out of battery power driving home

I like the paradigm: Never wait to charge an EV when you have to, charge when you can!

    range anxiety

Install a tesla charger at your home. It will be wired for 240 volts. If you use a 50 amp circuit breaker your be charging a MY at 9.6 kw, or about about 35 to 3 miles per hour. If you go to a max 60 breaker you'll charge around 40 mph. I'm actually quite happy with my old 30 amp dryer circuit...

This car holds way more than my ML 350!

Four people to Costco. Four shopping carts later. There's no way that we can pack it all into the Model Y. So, I was going to go home and grab the Nissan Titan but... And the rear well (not pictured) was filled to the brim too. Crazy space!!

    Front license plate holder.

I had the front of my Model Y wrapped with clear Xpel film, and asked the shop to put the plate holder on for me afterward. Since I no longer visit automatic car washes, I think it may hold up.

Blog Tesla Moving Headquarters to Austin, Texas

I think Elon spends so much time in Texas with SpaceX and his Austin expansion that it also make sense for him personally. Got to remember that he is human after all

Towing Experience with My New Model Y

Wow! I thought air resistance could be a factor, but no idea of its influence on range. Thanks for your info. That's really good to know. I'd like to buy a small pop up camper one day, so I'll look for one with the least resistance.

Towing Experience with My New Model Y

Yes. I was carrying a queen size headboard, frame and footboard. The edge of headboard stuck out from the trailer and created some drag. I got a bit less range (20 miles or so) going up with my load, versus coming back with an empty trailer. Overall energy usage went from 270 Wh/mi (one driver)...
