    Photos would help.

    Is this normal?

Yes. Normal. I think temperature has got to do something about the scale.

    Grumpy vehicle safety inspector

OP’s first explanation was so wrong (about the key fob) that I didn’t even need to read the rest. I did anyway and a sense of Tesla ownership entitlement was just smothered all over it.

Growing increasingly wary - front left visibility

I appreciate that this is not a Model 3 specific problem but given that this is a Model 3 forum, I tend to voice concerns and opinions (and praises) for Model 3. :) Also, given the incessant touting that goes on about how much better the car and its safety features, I feel that physical...

Growing increasingly wary - front left visibility

Yes, same. I pull my seat up as much as possible but at 6 feet 4 inches, my legs don’t like that!

Growing increasingly wary - front left visibility

I agree about the fat A-pillars in most cars but unfortunately the problem gets more significant in small cars like Model 3. I am not going to claim that I understand what goes into the design, but wouldn’t a slight increase in the width / distance from the driver side door to the driver help? I...

Growing increasingly wary - front left visibility

I’m in my second year of owning this car (SR+). I’ve mostly come to terms with the disappointing rear visibility because of the upward angled shape of the car. I’ve made it as good as it can get by adding a 240mm flat Broadway mirror, and I live with it. The side mirror visibility is nothing to...

I’ve never cried over a car until today...

I went through a similar experience (same parts hit while parked but it was still driving so I guess not nearly as bad as this one), the total cost of repairs was $18k and they restored every last thing I had done to it including tints, PPF, you name it. Insurance paid every last dollar for it...

Model 3 got hit on the side today!

Well, now let’s hope this doesn’t happen again! (Too soon)

Model 3 got hit on the side today!

that is way cheaper than I had expected. Don’t worry, it’ll cross 10k easily by the time they are done...

    Tesla hugs OUTSIDE of curves---why?

The issue is not just that it tends to hug the outer curve but that it doesn’t always gradually decelerate on those turns and that is very anxiety inducing. Another quirk that has been around for ages is the car wanting to center itself when there’s an adjacent merging lane when it should at...

Model 3 got hit on the side today!

It depends on whether they’re ready to take you in and have space to “safely” store your car until they’re ready for you. If I were you, I’d store it in my garage safely (if you have one) and only take it in when the parts are in.

Model 3 got hit on the side today!

I thrive on sarcasm. Don’t you worry - I just don’t know if OP does so I just wanted to make sure to call that out haha.

Model 3 got hit on the side today!

Tesla has them on the website. You tow it home. When they’re ready for you you tow it to the shop.
