    Should I buy a 2016 Tesla X

Four pages of discussion. Simple answer - stay away.

    High Fidelity Park Assist

I have seen what their high fidelity park assist does, and it is not even close to what a good 360 camera can do. Auto park is cool. But I’ll probably never need it. 360 however is a game changer and takes a lot of stress out if you’re driving a bigger car. Again, just my personal opinion.

    High Fidelity Park Assist

Please do not take this the wrong way as I am just here for a healthy / fun debate. Has the bar now come down to "not horrible" for Tesla? Are they resting on their laurels? Or are they only focusing on FSD and have given up on other more important features for a day-to-day driver (e.g., I could...

    High Fidelity Park Assist

I am the minority here clearly but you folks like this rendering? How is this superior to a high resolution “real” 360 image assisted with parking sensors? While 360 is also susceptible to image deterioration when cameras are covered but at least then the sensors take over and help with the...

    3D high fidelity park assist

And what happens when the cameras are covered with dust snow mud?

    Front Bumper Camera

Yes. Totally. However, a front bumper camera is a far more justified FOMO behavior than cooled seats or lighting I would think, as it is directly related to safety and automated driving enhancements, potentially - one of the major reasons to get an EV that is a Tesla besides native charging...

    Front Bumper Camera

Good point about the front bumper length.

    Front Bumper Camera

Well, the very reason I didn’t go with a Tesla two years ago when time came to upgrade my 3 was the removal of USS. Lens is a lens. Sensor is a sensor. Class action suits likely are not happening unfortunately so I won’t hold my breath. Wishful thinking, sure. Even if they don’t add the sensors...

    Front Bumper Camera

Given the (baseless) rumor around Model X getting a front bumper camera (a pretty significant update in my book as it gets us many steps closer to a true 360 view with practically no area left in the dark all around the car), would you wait to buy a Model X for this rumor to play out or not...

Done with Tesla Model Y Performance after 2000km

Respectfully, you (or almost everyone here!) likely have no idea what he’s like. Yes, you have formed an “opinion” of him which you’re entitled to. And I’ll also say that the reason you’re able to form such an opinion is that he’s talked about a lot on social media and has a social media...

Done with Tesla Model Y Performance after 2000km

Honestly, having driven performance Audis and BMWs, I find Tesla ownership a lot more economical lol. That said, I would agree with almost everything OP said. My gripe is the absent sensors / radar parts which render any features such as rear cross traffic alert impossible to implement...

Fake (old) news? Tesla Set to Unveil Front Bumper Camera and Ambient Lights for Model S/X

The front bumper camera (on the outside of the car) is incredibly useful especially if a true 360 view camera (top view) isn't available. Adding that camera may actually make the 360 view possible. CyberTruck has this camera. I would be several steps closer to ordering a Tesla the moment they...

Poll: When will FSD V12 be in wide release?

    Will 2020-2021 Model X running HW3 get FSD 12.3.3?

Tesla Autopilot Full Self Driving Month Trial April 2024. Pretty Good!

Drove it for about 2-3 hours around town and on the highway and plenty of parts in town. While it has improved quite a bit, I feel like for me, its novelty would wear off within a few days and I’d be back to driving my own car by myself because “it is just easier that way”. However, with the...

Did you own any other brand of EV before getting a Tesla?

Slightly different team but I hope it’s okay. We had a Tesla (loved it for the most part and didn’t love it for a few key things) and now we have another EV strictly for local driving. We do no road trips in it - we have a hybrid SUV for that as we don’t think very highly of EVs when it comes to...
