Model 3 trunk beeping twice and stopping halfway?

+1 with the same issue. Does not appear always, but typically when first time opening after being parked and when using the lid button.

    Newbie charging question

Couple of notes: 1) If you get the Long Range - the max AMPs on AC your car can take is 48A, but you can always change that from the menu and lower it down to 5A. Also (as mentioned) the mobile charger goes max to 32A anyway, which is the max charging rate of an SR+ model. In your case - if you...

First Tesla M3 SR+ road trip

Here is a new review by Bjorn: About 5% slower than the LR over 1000km(620miles). I still think it is the bast value.

Battery degradation hidden in energy consumption?

It got colder in the northern hemisphere, which causes range loss and higher Wh/m. My humble advice - relax, enjoy the car, and if you still think buying it was a mistake, just sell it. The resale value is great compared to other brands. In my view 20% to 30% higher energy use is to be expected...

What Kind of Car Did The Model 3 Replace?

2018 Accord Hybrid. I sold it 9 months after I bought it to get an SR+. It was a good car for what it was, but nowhere close to the enjoyment of driving(or better say living with) Model 3!

First Tesla M3 SR+ road trip

Yeah, I can see the issue with Supercharging in Central Texas. BTW, I was beating the Navigation trip range estimates by about 5 to 7%, but weather was nice, I used AC all the time, never heating.

Trade in model 3 sr+ for model 3 lr awd

I get you! I have the SR+ and I think it is a great value. The only potential regret that I can now think of for not buying a more expensive Model 3 is the even quicker acceleration of Dual Motor and the better sound system.

First Tesla M3 SR+ road trip

I have come to the exact same conclusion. I also charge to 70% , which keeps me going for 2 to 3 days and mine showed 237 when I did a full charge, although I typically never look at miles on the battery meter, but rather % points.

What is the Model 3 SR+ battery size?

Here is my thread with real world highway Wh/m readings(spelling should be ignored) :). First Tesla M3 SR+ road trip City driving is typically 10% better, unless(as mentioned) it is shorter than 10miles, where the AC eats up the driving efficiency benefits. 198 highway miles with 2 adults, 2...

How was your model 3 quality when you took delivery?

Yeah, QC is little to non existent at Tesla and I wonder, if (lets say) Toyota buys Tesla and implements their manufacturing model, how would that affect the creativity?!? Yes, they can fix the manufacturing, but would they kill the creativity? Is it even possible to have both creativity...

First Tesla M3 SR+ road trip

@jgmartin I totally agree with you! Battery capacity was an issue with the 24kWh batteries. It is the charging infrastructure that causes the range anxiety. My 2016 Chrysler 200 V6 was doing about 17.5MPG in the city(14 when I ran it on E85), with a 12 gallon tank - guess how many miles I...

    Buying out of inventory

No, they just come with the upgraded full self driving computer HW 3.0. If you do not buy FSD and do not care about it, then you are fine. If you get pre April 12 car and buy FSD, they will upgrade your car's computer for free(but you'll have to wait).

SR+ vs LR RWD. How much more pain on a long trip?

@Camera-Cruiser As seen, I defend the SR+ case, but would definitely agree with you if I only had a single Electric Vehicle for all my needs - then I'd go for the longer range option(at least until they build half as many SC as there are Gas stations - currently Europe is getting there with CCS).

SR+ vs LR RWD. How much more pain on a long trip?

I was in the exact same situation back in March. My wife loves her Atlas, we have 6y/72k miles warranty there. I will be replacing it once a better large EV comes on the market and it looks like there will be a few in the coming years. Here are my (a bit more than) 2c. First Tesla M3 SR+ road...

First Tesla M3 SR+ road trip

Yeah, I had the aero covers On this time. Speed was typical - passed slower vehicles and kept with traffic most of the time. Tire pressure was 42 PSI cold(gets to 45-46 PSI when they warm up).
