Interesting location, I've been to that Lowe's several times, not much around for amenities, but a good deal closer to the highway for anyone coming in/out of the city. Should take some pressure off the 150kw chargers in Evergreen Park and Country Club Hills.

Highest ev plate number I've seen has been like 83xxx, although I see a lot of model 3's with those FP plates.

The leaked address was 3050 Butterfield, which would have put it on the north side of Butterfield, and outside of Oak Brook. I kinda expected it to actually be at the Oak Brook Promenade plaza, which is 3001-3051 Butterfield. I even stopped by there in September to see if I could spot any...

The Joliet location also disappeared from the Find Us page, but is now under construction, so that's not necessarily proof of cancellation.

I asked a friend nearby there to snap some photos if he happened to go by. Sent these today, looks like not much has changed, he said he didn’t see any Tesla logos on anything.

I haven't had any occasion to stop by, but it's showing as open on the Tesla map.

Thought I might add a bit of speculation for some coming superchargers. Joliet - Address for this was leaked a while back, The Target on Rt 30 near I-55. Villa Park - I suspect this will also be at a Target, on North Ave. Lakemoor - I'm guessing this would be at the Woodman's on Belvidere Rd...

Looks like construction has started.

There were a couple guys working on the stalls today. I asked when it was likely to be open, was told "Within 24 hours" then revised to "by Friday, keep an eye on the charging map." So this is very close to being open.

Tesla map has Joliet listed for 2023, I'd expect something in the 80/55 area (there's an EA station at the Walmart on Jefferson) or 55 and route 30.
