When looking for valve stem covers I saw the same warnings about corrosion. For that reason, I went with titanium valve stem covers. I picked up a black set from here: DressUpBolts

You may want to consider using the app to open a service ticket for the car and explain the fobs were not provided at delivery. That may save you some aggravation by avoiding the conversation with someone at the SC who doesn't appear to know the car.
