    Firmware 8.0

I was on 106 and had the 108 update yesterday late morning. Not sure if you should be concerned. I did an 80 mile trip on 106 without any issues before I updated to 108.

    Firmware 8.0

Installed this morning. Gone for a couple drives since then. If not for the UI changes I wouldn't really notice anything different. Biggest complaint.... The date is not displayed anywhere. When the top icon bar goes invisible, the calendar icon goes with it so the date is lost. Sigh...

    MOR-EV $2,500 rebate in MA for P90D?

They have 75 days to send the checks. Both times I applied it took nearly the entire 75 days, so be patient.

    EV-only household

We have a Model S and a Smart ED. My main issue is that the Smart just doesn't have enough range for my daily commute (70 miles), but it is terrific for around town short commutes like shopping, movies, dinner, etc. Even so, I would still prefer a second car with longer range to share the daily...

    Hollis Auto Body - Recommendation

How did Geico feel about you going to Hollis vs. one of their "preferred" places.

Firmware 6.2 poll to say when you got it

I installed my update to 6.2 on Monday. I updated the logmysc page, but accidentally put in 3/28 for the date instead of 3/30. Can that be changed? It might be useful to allow someone with fat fingers like me to replace an existing entry. Maybe just add the same firmware release again and it...

    Massachusetts Film Wrappers

I used Wheel Dynamix for the wrap and SeaJay's for the Opticoat. I would recommend both of them.

Tesla and Town Hall -- $50K too high on excise tax

Just got mine for a P85. Valuation is 66,000, or 110,000 * 0.60. According to http://www.sec.state.ma.us/cis/cisexc/excidx.htm, the base price is supposed to be as quoted by NADA. However, according to the NADA website, a 2014 Tesla Model S Performance model has a base price of 93,400 which...

    Boston Area Inspection

The lady at the place I went to said that they were required to drive the car into the inspection area. It was the first Tesla she had seen, so I was a bit nervous turning it over, but she did fine. She did let me back it out.

    Smart EV (or ED)

I wish I could give you some of my unused miles. We got ours to be an extra, around town car for my wife and the mileage shows it. Right now about 3000 miles after 7 months. I do like it though, so I can understand how someone can put a lot of miles on it.

    Firmware 6.1

Got the notification around 1:30 this afternoon while I was at work. Went out to the car and started the install. By the time I left around 5:30 it was ready to go. Totally thrilled with it. TACC is everything I hoped it would be. It's a shame that tomorrow is supposed to be snow and ice so I...

    Supercharger - Auburn MA

I believe the only thing left is the transformer install, hookup, and signoff. I would hope this can be done in the next week. But, I haven't heard anyone committing to that, so we just wait and see.

Prank road sign fools Speed Assist.

Perhaps just having a table of max speed limits for the state you are driving in.

Prank road sign fools Speed Assist.

I encountered a speed limit sign that had been altered by somebody. Just the typical prank spray paint change from 35 to 85. Evidently, speed assist believed it because the little gray line on the speedo suddenly moved to 85. I laughed that it was actually confused like that. So I turned around...

Supercharger - Auburn MA (non-canonical thread)

I was there around 11am (didn't take pictures) and talked to someone who said he is the guy that signs off or certifies the electrical work. He sounded pretty positive that everything looked good and it was just a matter of waiting for the electrical work to be complete, which he thought would...
