Track report - Circuit Area 27

Greetings. I don't frequent the forums much these days, but thought it might be worth sharing another track report. I think my last report was here: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/track-report-i-need-a-bigger-battery-cooling-and-brakes-were-fine.208841/ Looking at the specs at the...

Thoughts after test driving Ioniq 5 from a Model 3 LR owner...

An hour to supercharge? Even on 1500+ mile roadrips we don't stay an hour unless food is involved.

Thoughts after test driving Ioniq 5 from a Model 3 LR owner...

Not quite "no one". https://thedriven.io/2020/03/05/fisker-ocean-electric-suv-has-solar-roof-that-adds-free-1600km-a-year/ Putting that all together the marketing speak from March 2020 maps to 80*1000/300 => 266 kWh / yr. Today, their website grows that a bit So being generous the...

[updated with *] P85D 691HP should have an asterisk * next to it.. "Up to 691HP"

To which the obvious response is "Why does anybody care about what matters to you if you don't care about what matters to anyone else?"

Phantom Braking theory...need help to test this out

I really wish Tesla offered a setting for normal CC when you want it. There are times when TACC is useless precisely because it's failing at being a good CC.

Me thinks the Feds are about to start putting Elon in check a bit..

She's assuming every car has the same hardware, firmware, and feature set. From repeated explicit statements at shareholder meetings, it's more realistic to think of every car as a unique combination of features and a supply chain that shifts hourly.

"it‘s relatively easy to make sure all OTA-equipped cars get updated" Incredibly naive comment.

    Safety Score

I wasn't the first, but I did try it out. You lose (TA)CC while in Track Mode, which made it annoying enough for me. So I tried to calibrate myself a bit using Track Mode and then turned it back off.

    Safety Score

As one of the stubborn (with score) and lucky (with no significant drama in roll-out and download) ones, I have some early thoughts. They really should roll out the new visualization to all FSD owners. I have no idea why they feel the need to hold that back from those not in the "limited"...

Update: Car 1 finished downloading. Car 1 finished installing. Car 2 is downloading now. Did not get a second email.

Prep for being off-charger for 2 weeks

It's always a good idea to leave the 5-15 ("normal wall plug") adapter attached and show them how to use the UMC. Five minutes out of your time that comes in handy if they end up having it for longer. Also, if you want to be a "helicopter parent" check that state-of-charge (SOC) on the phone...

They're both 2018, months apart. The newer delivery with the older VIN is the one downloading.

In case it's helpful information... Both our cars have 100 safety score. I got the email (which did not specify which VIN), and 1 car is downloading. The other is not (yet?).
