Model S HW 2.0 to HW 3.0 Upgrades? (Not HW2.5 or Model 3 upgrades to HW3)

I brought my car into the Dallas Service center on Nov 14th for service unrelated to HW3. When I was meeting with the service consultant he said I was getting the HW3. This was an unexpected surprise. Its now Nov 19th and my car is sill at service center

    Brake cleaning $75

My breaks were squeaking and its only 6 months old. When I called the service center they said rather than bringing the car in I could probably remedy this myself. Because of the regen breaking the brakes will build up dust and corrosion that would normally not happen as much with traditional...

Not charging at 72 a from hpwc

this is more a quality control thing. I don't think the Tesla Delivery center would ever test such a thing, but it shouldn't come off the factory line without passing some sort of quality check. There is no reason why Model S's would be produced with a 72a charger, but the settings are at 48a...

Not charging at 72 a from hpwc

I got my car back from the service center. Had to wait 2 hours which involved making a configuration change to recognize the 72a charger and then a full firmware update. My service invoice stated: Concern: Customer states: purchased high amperage charging for his model S and vehicle does not...

Not charging at 72 a from hpwc

Call your service center. When I called mine in Dallas they told me that a service bulletin has been issued for the 72a charger.

Not charging at 72 a from hpwc

if its that easy for a Ranger to do it I guess that's good news. I guess that raises another set of questions: Where is Tesla's quality control that they're allowing cars to leave the factory with the upgraded charger but incorrect settings on the car? How come Tesla didn't communicate this...

Not charging at 72 a from hpwc

I too just picked up my car and when I charged my car at the mall using Tesla's charging station my display showed only 48amps even though Tesla's charger is higher. From reading this thread I can't determine if the issue is hardware problem or a firmware issue

    GPS - Avoid Tolls

Has anyone ever suggested an enhancement to their GPS app so you can avoid tolls? In most GPS systems you can find a setting in there to avoid tolls. If Telsa uses Garmin for their maps why couldn't they use their information related to tolls?

    Resale guarantee

Actually I had the same question. So for those that financed and received the guarantee buy-back how does that truly work. I know we received a certificate guaranteeing the rate, but do they factor in "costs" associated with buying it back so you actually get less? For example if you call...

Tolltags don't work on the Model S

I used the license plate toll tag from NTTA yesterday. Drove through the overhead toll reader but it never read my toll tag. I will call on Monday to ask what's going on.

GPS - Wrong Turn by Turn Directions

Has anyone encountered the GPS giving different turn by turn directions which were opposite of what the on-screen display showed? Yesterday I had the GPS tell me to make a "sharp right" when the on-screen display showed the correct directions which was a sharp left (U-Turn). The GPS did it to...
