Another Tesla Insurance Rate Increase! Seriously Tesla?

That's what Tesla did to MD drivers this past January! That's also why I bailed and switched to insurance via Costco. Slightly higher premium, but no big brother Elon watching my driving habits to worry about to ding my score.

Replaced 2 tires at Tesla for >$1000?!?!?

$375 for a single alignment is highway robbery.

    M3 Replacement tires

I decided to get tires (Conti DSW 06's) that had SOME snow ability but not to the point that I would have to sacrifice range/comfort for the other ~360 days of the year where there was no snow (and this past year 365 days with no snow to drive on LOL). And if it ends up snowing to the point I...

Lots of questions about the new base Model Y coming out of Texas

Yep, it was around for less than a week in early 2021. Introduced at $43k, and the price was actually dropped to $40k for 2-3 days, then Tesla killed the SR-Y and it was never seen again. Lol I wish I had jumped at the $40k SR-Y....ended up with a $41k SR+ 3 several months later.

    M3 Replacement tires

I think it depends on which NTB you go to. The one I went to didn't have pucks, but luckily I did, so they used my pucks to lift the car. Also, the service guy didn't even know how to unlock a Tesla (LOL) so I had to show him. I assumed since Teslas are a dime a dozen in my area they had to have...

    M3 Replacement tires

You've probably already replaced your tires by now, but for anyone in a similar boat looking for new rubber, I just replaced my stock Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires on my '21 Model 3 SR+ (46k miles) as they were down to 2-4/32nds. Also, I almost spun out coming out of an off-ramp on a damp (but not...

    New tires at 21,000 miles

I got 46k out of my stock tires for my '21 3 SR+, but they are now down to 2-4/32nds so will have to go tire shopping now.

    Maryland BGE Home charging program

Your 11 cent rate probably includes distribution charges/taxes/fees. I believe my overall off-peak rate is also around 11 cents/kWh after everything is included.

About to switch to Tesla Insurance for much less in premium......any catch?

The catch is they'll jack up your rates an insane amount upon 1st renewal. Mine went up like 240% (lol) and I decided to dump Tesla go with Costco's insurance provider (American Family Insurance?). I'll be paying ~10% more going with Costco, but now I won't have to worry about stupid FCA's...

IRS raises maximum eligible price limit to $80k for Model Y

Tesla jacks the prices of the Model Y LR up in 3, 2, 1....

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I had a couple grand in my HSA investment fund just sitting there as cash last week, so I converted a chunk of it into $TSLA @ $128. Had set a limit order to buy if it hit $100 the previous day, but it only dropped to $110 and didn't trigger. Glad I got in at 128 though!

How accurate is trade in value?

The old adage still seems to ring true: only trade in to Tesla if you hate money.
