Supercharger - Silverdale, WA (dig ticket and electrical permit, 12 V4)

Finally! Now I’ll be able to quit using EA when headed this way. One of the few places in the US where EA had a lot better coverage.

Garage smoke detectors and home insurance for home charging.

If your EV shares a garage with an ICE car, will the exhaust fumes of ICE set off a smoke detector?

    Supercharger - Ocean Shores, WA (LIVE 10 Oct 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

If you are staying at RV parks with your trailer, you should also be able to charge for no extra cost there. Not sure where you can see all SC prices but they do vary a lot. I just went from Flagstaff to Seattle through California and rates varied from .24 to .44 cents but typically in the mid 30’s.

I regret my Model Y purchase because of seat comfort and seating position problems

Seems to be dependent on the person. I just finished a 3300 mile road trip over 10 days and seats seemed fine in 2021 MY. I also found that TACC and auto steer made a huge difference in feeling less tired.

Supercharger - Okeechobee, FL (Yeehaw Junction)

Hmmmmm… 200 stalls in the swamp, must be a typo?? Awesome if true.

    Strange issue with USB

Had the USB go away literally the morning I was leaving on a 3k road trip. Don’t know why and had not done a SW update recently. Tried hard reboot, unplug and replug, no luck. Tried another hard reboot a couple of days later and been good since. I also had the right rear camera go black 2k into...

Help with Grand Canyon Road trip

I just did this trip in my 2021 LR MY. Using PlugShare ap, I found that the Best Western Plus at Springdale has 2 slow chargers. We were staying 3 nights anyway so stayed there and nice hotel and location for Zion. Most of the time nobody was charging so no problem using. No cost and no codes...

Electric vehicles release more toxic emissions, are worse for the environment than gas-powered cars: study

One thing that people miss is that an EV built today gets cleaner over time as the grid gets cleaner while IcE cars just get dirtier as they age. Also the batteries can be reused for stationary storage and then recycled. Unlike small batteries, no one is going to throw away a large EV battery

Las Vegas to Grand Canyon - ABRP vs Tesla Trip Planner

One thing to note is that going from Kingman to the GC, you gain like 3000 feet so takes more juice than you would think at first.

    Electric new sales S-Curve

True but if and when EV cost less to purchase than ICE, the transition will happen in most parts of US. Will take longer for big pickups due to battery costs.

Great news for heading to from Death Valley!

Maybe still hope for Mountain Home?

How much super charging is considered too much for good battery health

I don’t think it is dependent on how many times a day since battery is liquid cooled. The Nissan Leaf had problems with this as is air cooled so the second time the battery was getting hot and so slowed charge rate. There are lots of Ride Share drivers using Tesla’s and charge several times a...

Driving in a hilly city like SF or Seattle?

Works fantastic on hills. I live at the top of a long hill and I can go down the whole way just adjusting the accelerator and using regen and not the brakes. With my ice car, it keeps trying to run away from you as you have to repeatedly apply the brakes but can’t just leave them on or will...
