Key Fob Battery Low Warning - please help

have been having the same message for 2 months now. 2016 Model S. Replaced battery with regular energizers from the supermarket... will try the above method.

What started you investing in Tesla (@Jackl1956 thread)

interesting reading, this thread is. i thought tesla was like an unreachable luxury car. That's all I knew about it. I didn't even know it was EV. I didn't even know what EV was. So, i thought it was like a rolls royce, ridiculously expensive, only for gazillionaires. Then, my friend...

    75D battery degradation

oct 2016 delivery 75 RWD 80k miles 100% at 213miles 14.5% degradation I think a year ago, I was at 8%. So that kind of sucked.

    Tire Life

I got 43k, could've stretched it to 45 safely. RWD. Rotated every 7500. My commute is 35 miles at 75mph zero traffic, which accounts for 300 miles a week. My S, OTOH, I've been unable to get more than 30k... so on the 3rd set of tires. My wife drives that. Infer from that what you will.

    Percent or Miles & Why?

the difference in ICE and EV.... the reason ICE gas gauges in % works so well, is because it's easy to fill up when you get low. you don't have to worry about how many miles you have left. However, if you were running low, and the next gas station was 30 miles, I'm sure you would like to know...

    Percent or Miles & Why?

miles is easier math; easier to guestimate. especially when I'm trying to plan a route where charging or range comes into play, much easier to plan/guestimate with the miles remaining.

    Supercharger - Stockton, CA (LIVE 13 Nov 2020, 12 V3 stalls)

It ain't Beverly Hills, but it also isn't South Stockton. Your chances of being a victim of a crime aren't much higher than any other major city, IMO. you can always hang in the hotel after dark... restaurant open until 11pm. I work across March Lane, and have never felt unsafe in 12 years.

    Dumbest Tesla Question Thread

my go to is: "I'm never buying a gas car again" pretty powerful statement if you ask me.

    Dumbest Tesla Question Thread

Seems harsh to divorce your wife over that question........

    Dumbest Tesla Question Thread

These are actually really good questions for a 8/9 year old. it shows they are making logical connections and demonstrating reasoning. They just need more foundation/facts/education... In fact, the first one: he is recollecting something he heard 'years ago' (which would make him less than 7...

Supercharger - Elk Grove, CA - Elk Grove Blvd. (LIVE 21 Jul 2020, 16 V3 stalls)

This parking lot is ALWAYS busy. The whole thing. that was the first thing I thought when I heard this location. Then, I'm trying to figure out how the queue will go when it's busy. The stalls are right in between 2 entrances off elk grove blvd. I dont't see a good place to line up, at...

Supercharger - Elk Grove, CA - Elk Grove Blvd. (LIVE 21 Jul 2020, 16 V3 stalls)

pro tip: if you are planning on charging here and eating at the sushi buffet, don't. you won't have time... always a huge waiting list to get in. and they close btwn lunch and dinner. (and it's decent food, but not great, but it's a great value.)

The biggest surprise I have after two weeks of Model 3

I'm with OP, aside from the multiple rear ends: I speed less with AP. I hate long boring drives, and driving 80-85 so I can be done earlier is a huge motivator. With AP, I don't feel like I'm driving... so I don't care how long it takes. Now, if I'm late, and I need to hurry, I drive...

The front license plate question.... (poll)

I think it's only a matter of time before they start enforcing it. The proliferation of Model 3s, and therefore, the number of front license plate violators, will reach a tipping point. I'd rather not get a fixit ticket.
