Tesla Power Sharing no longer requires Subpanel

Any thoughts re if that also applies to the terminal node in the chain ? I am planning to do the following for the chain. 60A breaker -> universal -> gen3. Obviously you need a universal connector for any non terminal position due to it having the 2 sets of wire connectors.

Tesla Power Sharing no longer requires Subpanel

Just ordered the universal wall connector, since my TeslaTap took on water and shorted itself out. Lovely…. The manual does indeed allow the single circuit. They even support daisy chaining from within the connector ...

How many will look into the F-150 Lightning?

And if you only have a pro or even XLT - you get none of these features. I would have had to spend another $19-29k to get lane keep / blue cruise. Absolute insanity, you don’t get anywhere close to 30k worth of additional value. All you really get is a different badge on the car :) Will likely...

Using EV's as emergency supplements to Powerwall?

Confirmed that the green button does not activate the plug if the truck is not running :/ Perhaps you can try to plug in & activate quickly before the driver exits their vehicle, gives you a few seconds after parking !

Using EV's as emergency supplements to Powerwall?

It's a good question. There is no key. You lift the plug cover, plug in and press a green button. I think the truck needs to be on initially to activate the on-board power, but I have not (yet) tried this! I have a bed cover now, so there is no access unless you can unlock and lower the...

Using EV's as emergency supplements to Powerwall?

Yes you can charge the F150L while using the onboard power. In fact you can even drive while using the onboard power. Could tow the Tesla and charge it at the same time! 🤣 You can also use the F150L onboard to charge itself. Have not yet tried, but you should be able to charge the truck...

Using EV's as emergency supplements to Powerwall?

We have solar, PWs and a F150L now. We can now use the F150L to charge the Tesla ! 30A max. Just need to sort out how to allow it to serve as an additional battery buffer for the house. 100kwh for $40k-$7.7k rebate was too good to pass up. I think a manual transfer switch may work. Has...

    7-seat config waiting room

I think the issue with boosters is that they are not secured unless buckled no? And in the 3rd there are no car seats latches in the seats. So when no kids are in the seats, they would turn into loose/projectiles :)

How many will look into the F-150 Lightning?

Agreed. It’s horribly confusing. So many options and bundle requirements. I have no plans to tow. No trailer. Max tow adds the second battery/engine cooler which should help with overall efficiency. Then tow tech added in the bed scales afaik. The 9.6kw option added the plugs to the front...

How many will look into the F-150 Lightning?

Yes using 240V via the ford the mobile charger for now. Plugged into a 14-50, though the mobile charger can only supply 32 amps. The SR truck can take up to 48A - planning use the Tesla wall connector + adapter to get there. It charges at 7kwh so would take 14 hours to fully charge 0-100%...

How many will look into the F-150 Lightning?

Picked up truck up today. Went with the XLT SR w/ max tow, tow tech, 9.6kw onboard, bed step. Paid MSRP, 1.99%, 60 months, $0 down. $58,694 - $750 CFR - $7500 federal - $2000 CVRP Incredible amount of torque. Chirps the tires at 30+ mph and has some very strong torque steer that you need to...

How many will look into the F-150 Lightning?

If the ER was only $10k more then maybe, but its not. You have to add all sorts of other fluff to get it. $18-25k more ! Yes I saw the same, it removed the co-pilot active. That makes no sense what-so-ever so hoping it is a mistake. Max Tow adds the second cooling loop, so I assume that...

How many will look into the F-150 Lightning?

Picking up my XLT SR sometime next week! Agate Black Metallic + Tow Tech Package + Max Tow Package + 9.6kw onboard + Tail gate step All-in, $58,489.00 - $7500.00 federal tax credit = $50,989.00 Have a 1.74% 60month loan pending with CAFCU. Figure I will at least take delivery and try it out...

New Powerwall Advanced Options [Toggles for charging from and discharging to grid from powerwalls]

Welcome to the era of machine learning and AI! The basic setup is likely as you describe, with ML on top to tune per home as usage/time/costs evolve. No way to ever turn a sophisticated ML black box back into something a human could understand and make sense of.
