Michelin CrossClimate 2 finally coming to Model Y size

We've found that the rolling resistance of the CC2s made a noticeable difference in our Leaf efficiency. Because the time of year makes a big difference as well I can only say it subjectively, but I would not be surprised if it were 15% or even a bit more. According to Consumer Reports...

60k miles, heat pump failure 2020 MYP - Tesla wants $4500

Why wouldn't this be covered under the 4 year warranty? Isn't this a case of an estimate that won't need to be paid by the vehicle owner?

It Rains up here in Washington, HELLO!

I'm not sure how much rain @RustedNut experienced, but during a heavy downpour we lost the autopilot on the highway. Disappointing, because I would have preferred to have the Tesla looking out for other vehicles while visibility was definitely compromised. The autopilot was easily re-engaged...

    Form 8911

I figured out my issue. They've updated the form recently, but I'm using IRS Free File fillable forms and it doesn't have the latest version. Not sure what I'll do as I really don't want to give a random company all the personal information, like SS numbers, that goes on the tax forms. I...

    Form 8911

Has anyone filled out the Form 8911 to get a tax credit for installing an electric vehicle charging system at your house? If so, would you mind sharing which boxes on the form have values and just put in an example amount using $1,000 or $2,000 for the installation and equipment costs. I've...

GFCI Breaker is Code for EV Charging

Same. Our SquareD Homeline GFCI breaker has worked perfectly so far. About $90 more than the non-GFCI breaker, but as long as it continues to work I'm glad we have it.

Would you recommend the Tesla Model Y All-Weather Interior Liners?

If you've used them both, any preference?

How much money you have spent on your Tesla after took it home

I won't include the new 14-50 outlet in our garage because it is multi-use. We are under $1,000 with: Nema 14-50 adapter $35 Extra mobile charger to keep in the Y $260 Homelink $300 Hitch adapter and new screw to make our old Yakima bike rack functional $25 Weatherproof rear cargo mat and...

    Cold regen questions

@PagodaY- Are you finding that you have to use the brakes when you go down that 900 ft of elevation? I would argue that you have enough regeneration available to you if you don't need to use the brakes much. I have a somewhat similar situation, and the warnings of reduced regeneration...

How much is too much (charging to 100%)?

Ah, a fellow Leaf owner:) Range anxiety is real with a 24kwh battery, and I've bundled up for my longer winter drives to ensure that I'd arrive with at least 20% of my battery left. We never came close to having an issue, but still....the battery goes fast when you have lights, windshield...

    Limited Charging Message

We had similar issues. Worked fine on Tesla Supercharger and at Chargepoint. But using our 14-50 adapter/outlet or the standard 15amp adapter and garage outlet we had the clicking, error messages and reduced charge rate. Since we wanted a second charger anyway to keep in the car, we went...

    Availability of Superchargers

I think we are fine with a 30-50 minute charge, if that is what it takes. As long as there is some caffeine within walking distance anyway;) I was mostly wondering how often there is a wait outside of the actual charging time, or if chargers are poorly maintained and out of service very often...

    Availability of Superchargers

We don't expect to use the Supercharging network much, but before we plan any trips we wanted to know how often there is an issue with Superchargers not being available without a wait? Does that happen frequently? (Most concerned about the west coast and I-5 corridor). What is it like with...

    12 Volt Battery

Being stranded is never a good thing. I know there were some issues on the M3 12 volt. Are there any maintenance habits that can help prolong the life of the 12 volt battery? And does anyone know the approximate time to failure? We usually replace our vehicle batteries at 5 years to avoid...
