I'll never be able to decide on a color

White cars get in 12% fewer accidents. Free color and 12% less chance of bodily injury or death. Gee, tough decision.

    Tesla for 80 year old?

I'll agree about having proper vision correction to drive, but the font on the screen is still too small, especially for critical info. If you're tall, it's even worse, as your seat will be back, increasing your distance to the screen. The alerts, at minimum, should be larger or text-to-voice.

    Tesla for 80 year old?

As an 80-year-old Tesla driver, I feel bound to speak up for my age group, the pre-WW II models. My wife and I love our car and don't find it at all intimidating. Of course, she spent her career in IT and I've always been an early tech adopter. Meanwhile. we know some people our age and even...

Tesla 3 charging door won't open

Actually, I did have a problem with a Supercharge when my charge port door wasn't working right. I was able to charge at home OK, but the Supercharger would not recognize that the port was open and ready for charging.

    FSD or Long Range?

Is the LR RWD or AWD? If AWD, go with that for significantly more power and likely less depreciation long-term. If it's RWD, it's a closer call, but the LR will also give you decent power, a little more range and better sound. I'm very happy with my 2018 LR RWD.

Sell Model 3 for new Model 3?

Your average annual cost of ownership will go down the longer you keep the 2018. Unless you like spending a lot to drive, getting a new car without much of an upgrade just gets you more rapid depreciation. Of course, I come at this as a longtime used car buyer. My last Lexus RX350, bought with...

Advice Wanted: Used Early VIN LR RWD vs New LR AWD

I have an early LR RWD and really love it, but that one sounds like it has too many questions. I got mine for just over $35K, with 45K miles and EAP. I don't mind high mileage cars. Warranty problems usually shake out in the first couple of years and, besides, Tesla warrantees the drive train...

Tesla 3 charging door won't open

Mine fixed under warranty, but they first posted an estimate of $700 for parts and labor on the service appointment. That was waived.

    Model 3 2021.4.12 update bug

I took the plunge. No issues.

    2018 Model 3 (no autopilot)

Unless the price on that car is very low, and you think you could live without the autopilot features, i think you might consider trying to find one with Enhanced Autopilot (EAP). It's not unusual to find a 2018 model selling with EAP for the same price or a little more than one without. EAP...

    Model 3 2021.4.12 update bug

Is anyone else having issues with this update? I just got the update notice on the app and haven't installed yet, because of this post.

Used dealers DO NOT understand Teslas

I'm glad you got through to someone at Carvana about this. I spoke to them and apparently had the wrong person, who did not seem to care much. I was even pointing out a case where they were underpricing a car by a lot.

Used dealers DO NOT understand Teslas

Maybe things will change once FSD is actually FSD, but those kbb estimates are valid, as that's what many dealers use. FSD seems, so far, to have been a questionable investment. The car keeps 75% of its value, but FSD keeps less than 20% of its value. Let's see what happens when the beta goes...

    Enhanced autopilot

I am, too, especially the subscription price to owners who have EAP. Based on current pricing, it should be half of the FSD subscription to add it to EAP.

    telephone

I wish it was a simple as a push on one of the scroll wheels to answer the phone. The controls are there. Why doesn't Tesla use them?
