My original batteries started dying around 7 years, and all 4 failed by year 8. I don't think that you can dig deeper and replace the original battery as I think that it is on the other side of the printed circuit board. I think that to try to remove the original battery would be irreversibly...

I don't want to hijack this thread (and want to start with kudos to @markwj for this awesome work), but I thought it worthwhile to relay to those interested (who have reasonable solder skills, or know someone who does) and may not know that it is possible to "revive" Roadster 2.x TPMS sensors...

Sorry, just saw this [forgot to tick e-mail notifications]. I pulled the 5V supply from the second USB port on my laptop (I didn't want to cut into my standalone USB-RS232 dongle as I have other uses for it). I have many-many-many original, but now almost useless, original iPhone-USB cables...

Can anyone describe the procedure for reprogramming a "forgotten" key fob so it can be recognized by the alarm system in the Roadster Sport? I would like to avoid a service visit just to reprogram a "Maytag-ed" key fob. Thank you. cangman

SUCCESS: Just to close this out, and maybe provide some useful information to others who may face this issue in the future----- I uploaded the log file as instructed in the Roadster Owner's Manual, and within hours received an e-mail from a local Tesla Service Center (very impressive response...

Thanks, shrink. Interestingly, when I discussed this matter with my local Tesla Service Center, their response was, and I quote, "we're not quite sure how to do it, but I'm sure if we plug it in and play around with it for a while (@ $200/hr), we'll be able to figure it out". Doesn't exactly...

I recently purchased a used Roadster Sport and the original owner set a Security PIN that was not the "1234" default. Unfortunately, that Security PIN was not provided with the materials that came with the car. Does anyone know of a method to recover that Security PIN, or reset the Security...
