Thinking about joining legal action on recent massive price cut

Well, thank you guys and gals for honest feedback. I should've put (unpopular opinion), (putting triple layered flame suits) into the post. Wrong place to ask I suppose. Should've went to Porsche forum.

Thinking about joining legal action on recent massive price cut

With the recent major price reduction, I feel like I'm hit with the penalty for being a few months earlier adopter. Not sure if I'd line up at the stores overnight or put reservation money. I bet many of you, the loan balance is higher than how much you can buy the cars right now. Even with...

Rear ended.. minor damage but don’t know what to do

I've had minor bumper repaired by a mobile bumper repair guy. It was not a Tesla but the paint was hard to match. He first asked for paint code then came back with the exact paint. It cost me 300 last year and result was 95% good - you couldn't tell it was repaired unless you shine real hard...

Do you notice your interior mirror dim at night?

I asked the SC specialists a couple of times, they both told me the same thing that there will be software update so we're not touching the mirrors at this point. I don't know how though, technically you can adjust the amount of darkening? On the center mirror, I see no difference between the...

Do you notice your interior mirror dim at night?

Ever since delivery our car doesn't seem to dim its center mirror at night. Side mirrors do and it's very noticeable. I pinged local SC and they told me center mirror dimming level is set to 'mild' level, and later to be adjustable via software update. I'm thinking our center mirror dimming...

Model 3 Rear Ended: Repair Journey

Our S had similar damages to OP, sightly worse as the bumper had noticeable crease. Tesla policy last year was to reuse the parts as much as you can, to reduce wait time. I wouldn't be surprised if model 3 had the same reuse policy. A certified body shop should be able to bring that back to...

Not getting paint protection film for your Model 3?

If a complete wrap costs $500 then most everyone spends 50k on a car will get it. But to me PPF is too expensive. Locally costs 2000 on front. I understand it's very labor intensive (watch PPF on YouTube) and films aren't cheap either, but I keep comparing to films on phones... The real...

    Driver's Seat Squeaks

Does yours rub against center console? If so SC can adjust it to not to touch. Our S seat was rubbing against center console and SC was able to adjust them. I had no idea you can adjust seats left-right direction.

Not getting paint protection film for your Model 3?

Just like our previous S, our 3 has soft paint and Tesla still continues to have poor paint quality. I'm too cheap to spend ~2k on front clip PPF, but the front bumper is so prone to rock/bugs due to its aerodynamic design. It's been 4weeks since we started to drive and I noticed a few rock...

Spotted another Roof Rack on 3 online - Any info?

I spotted photos on Google photos where people put random Model 3 photos. There's not much info given other than a couple of photos...

California VINs: are you still waiting?

2/14, no vin, 20min to Fremont. I wouldn't rule out the possible claim, the number of cars 'en route' to customers at the time of earnings report, as they mentioned last time. They already took our deposit, so they can claim that those cars are already accounted for and 'made' -despite PDI not...

Model 3 problems at delivery - poll

The poll should include post delivery failures as well. There are things you'd never notice during 5-minute walkthrough. For us, 1) heater not working at all, 2) rear view mirror not dimming (told firmware issue), and 3) charge port door failure message. The delivery itself was okay but I felt...

Can I ride in your car?

There's also Turo, if you want to test drive the car right away. This way you don't have a passenger/owner sitting next to you and you can spend all day trying to make your decisions...

Can I ride in your car?

I'm in peninsula, if you still haven't had a chance to try by the time I get mine, I don't mind arranging for a meet up. But why wonder on PUP or non-PUP, most likely by the time you're able to order non-PUP the EV credit would be gone. For us, PUP is worth it, because the car looks pretty basic...

    Delivery Problems

For us, so far: Heater dead on arrival (fixed after a week at SC) Constant "charge door needs service" message. (SC removed it once, now it's back) Rear view mirror not dimming at night Blank screen while driving (restart worked) Screen with matrix lines (restart worked) Even then, this is an...
