No test drives available for 100 miles?

As tm1v2 said, Tesla sells all their test drives cars at the end of the quarter to report better sales numbers. The test drive fleets will be replenished over the next couple of weeks and you should be able to test drive a Model Y at any Tesla center.

    4680 on Model Y?

That's not the case, and you can see how it is always the frunk, trunk, or doors that are misaligned, not the chassis. The service center can adjust it, something that wouldn't be possible if it was the welded pieces. All the other manufacturers have a similar process, but they have more...

    4680 on Model Y?

The steel pieces are welded by robots to perfect specifications. It is the panels that are installed by humans (I would say drunken koalas, looking at the fit and finish) where the problems arise, and to be honest, I am not sure that will be resolved with the castings.

    2021 Headlight black spots

BTW, the new Infrastructure Bill signed in mid-November has changed this. Adaptative LED headlights are now allowed in the US: https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1134202_infrastructure-law-paves-way-for-adaptive-headlights-in-us I hope Tesla activates this feature in the MYP soon.

New Edmunds' Article. Mach-E GT vs MYP.

Have you watched the same video? It is a very honest review, where he highlights the pros and cons of both cars. It is undeniable the Ford handles better, mainly due to the Magnaride suspension and this is objectively proven when you look at the skidpad numbers and brake figures. FSD is a joke...

Are there any regular USB ports on the new refreshed Model Y?

I wouldn't even buy an adapter, you can buy a cheap USB C to Lighting cable https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Powerline-Lightning-Connector-Certified/dp/B07H256MBK/ or a USB C to micro USB for almost nothing https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Micro-Braided-Jacket/dp/B00UUBRX0Y/

Test drive - LR Vs Performance

I am considering purchasing a Y and test drove both versions this week. White/Black interior LR and Silver/White Performance. This was the first time I ever drove an EV, but I have been reading a lot and as a car fan my expectations were high. My impressions: - LR: Yes, the torque and power...

Texas factory for Canadian/Ontario Model Y?

The front casting doesn't appeal to me much, I see it as an internal manufacturing process that shouldn't affect the final outcome too much, but a new paint line is very attractive, considering the poor finish of the cars coming from California. If they use the new 4680 cells even better, but I...

Texas factory for Canadian/Ontario Model Y?

I have to replace my ICE car in March 2022 and the Model Y is a strong contender. I have read Texas will start producing cars in late 2021, early 2022, for the US East Coast. Do we know if Ontario will receive Model Y built in Texas or California in Q1 2022?
