    Anyone else with glass defect?

Yep. Saw the same thing on delivery day. They said they hadn’t seen it before. They called me to bring it in 3 weeks later and I’m picking it up today after 24 hours in service. No biggie.

Model 3 Drive Selector Replacment URGENT notice on my VIN

Thought I’d add that my 3 (72xx) apparently has the same issue. Something about it being hard to put in park. My DS said they’re going to try to fix it before my pickup Saturday, but it’s driveable regardless.

    VIN Assignment

2/22 and I'm getting my red aero Saturday in Seattle.

    No recent VIN assignments?

That's refreshing. I got my VIN Friday and rang Tesla proper today. They said they'd ping my ISA who would contact me within 48 hours. I'm not holding my breath, lol. That being said, with the absolutely massive number of VINs getting handed out right now, I hope they don't get even more...

    VIN Assignment

Howdy fellow Washingtonian! How did you get your confirmation? I called Tesla and they told me they were going to ping my SA (or whatever we're calling them). Said he should call me within 48 hours (not holding my breath though). I configured 2/22. VIN last Friday.

California VINs: are you still waiting?

I wouldn’t expect delivery before the 31st. Tesla is prioritizing deliveries to the east coast so they can be shipped and delivered before the end of the quarter. You’ll probably get a call at the last possible second.

    No recent VIN assignments?

But we already know they aren’t producing cars in VIN order. Retooling paint isn’t difficult and retooling wheels basically isn’t a thing. It’s completely possible that a 6xxx VIN is being produced in between two 7xxx VINs. The only apparent order we see is probably because it’s easier to...

    No recent VIN assignments?

For anyone curious, I made a plot that attempts to show the level of vin/delivery assignment saturation. Each bar represents the day configured. The height is the number of people who are in the given state.

    No recent VIN assignments?

I agree. Everyone is organizing the spreadsheet by VIN, but *of course* VINs correspond to build types. They pull out of block of VINs and assemble them as a single configuration. But we all know VINs are not sequential when it comes to actual production. If you sort by scheduled delivery...

Need a Tesla owner in the Seattle area to help test a Christmas gift

Thanks for your concern! I'll keep an eye on the cable's temperature. The plastic is pretty thin and while LED strips can get hot, mine only draw 5W. You can see the finished product here.

Need a Tesla owner in the Seattle area to help test a Christmas gift

Hi All, I'm new to the forums, so let me know if this isn't the right place to post this. I'm working on a custom-made travel charger accessory for my father's Model S. The idea is to basically make one of these: My version sits between a NEMA 14-50 plug and the charger and then wraps...
