    Can I delay?

Yes, I don't make it a habit of following all the Tesla news. Life is too complicated with a large family, running a business, a day job, and managing our five car family motor pool. We have two 3s and both our previous cars purchased in 2018 came pretty much on schedule. Throwing this sudden...

    Can I delay?

I placed a reservation in March 2022 for a Model Y and the delivery date was Sept-December 2022. Then in June the date was changed by Tesla to March 2023-June 2023. I opted to extend the lease on my existing Honda an additional year since my Tesla was extended out. Now I got a text from Tesla...

How do I know if I have the newer, powerful chips in my computer?

Ok, I will have to contact the service center. My car broke down hundreds of miles from home and was delivered to me repaired without an invoice.

How do I know if I have the newer, powerful chips in my computer?

I have a Model 3 that I purchased last November. My computer recently failed and Tesla had to replace it. Is there a way I can lookup either software or physically on the computer module to see if the replacement has the new more powerful chip? I am wondering if they gave me a recycled older...

Tesla originally billed us $35 for checking air pressure

Update, My wife took the car in today and she brought up the charge. The service guy was real nice about it and when she brought it up he kind of implied that the charge is automatically added, but they won't put it on the work order Then she pulled out the law that someone posted earlier in...

Tesla originally billed us $35 for checking air pressure

I printed out the rule showing we can decline and gave it to my wife to address when she drops the car off. She was pretty ticked when she saw the exemption for air being checked in the last 30 days. The car is not even 30 days old. I will share what happened later this morning.

Tesla originally billed us $35 for checking air pressure

Ok, that is good. I was going to take the morning off from work to deal with this, but I will go back to my wife taking it in with a copy of that. Anyone in California ever have this on a work order?

Tesla originally billed us $35 for checking air pressure

No biggy my name and email is on there. I would rather not have my VIN associated with my name though so I scratched it out. I suppose you could find my address typing it in google, but heck I scratched it out.

Tesla originally billed us $35 for checking air pressure

I took delivery of our second Model 3 three weeks ago. After the delivery agent left my house I took the car for a drive and found the steering wheel binding, emitting a loud squeal when turned. They had me bring the car to the Marina Del Rey delivery center and they could not fix it so they...

How come Teslas are not popular for Police Cars?

As a former police officer I can attest what others have said about jumping curbs, durability, etc. However, the big problem is charging. I have been out of it for 22 years, but back then we had Crown Vics and I would go through a half tank of fuel in a shift. For my department, and most...

    Dedicated EV Charging Meter

Some municipal owned utilities will let you splice to the existing meter which would be a lot less invasive. Edison and PG&E won't. Another option is to install solar on your home to offset your peak usage. Rather than buying energy at .55 kwh you could be getting it from your solar panels. In...

    Dedicated EV Charging Meter

Let me begin by saying I don't own a Tesla but opted for a Volt. I would love to be able to afford a Tesla, but not now. I know, this a Tesla forum, but we all have the same charging issues. I love my car but I was somewhat shocked to discover what it was going to cost me to charge this car...
