    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Similar on my Plaid, but more on top right corner. Ranger came out to my house and replaced the yolk. Checked out the whole car, downloaded new software - 30 minutes - all good. Do you think any legacy OEMs would do this? I think not.

Don't trust automatic gear selection on refreshed Model S.

My Honda pickup trained me to verify the gear selection before taking my foot off the brake. The push buttons are inconsistent and poorly placed. Transition to the Plaid autoshift was pretty easy thanks to the Honda. Autoshift will occasionally choose "Drive" in an empty parking lot because...

    Model S Plaid range discussion.

Plaid trip report - 3200 miles (West Texas - Jackson Wy - Keystone SD - Central Texas) Pdf versions of spreadsheets uploaded for examination - comments, please. Old news summary: flat batteries charge faster. News: Plaid can routinely get sufficient charge with little or no tapering - great...

    Model S Plaid range discussion.

(Plaid w 19s) Can't corroborate the reports of low range. May be different scenarios - who knows. Range seems similar to my 2018 100D after the first 5000 miles- will assemble a spreadsheet for documentation. Plaid mode may be less efficient than sport or chill - book says Plaid keeps battery...

Plaids at Truth or Consequences, NM yesterday. Stunning green one had a California plate, Signature badge. Black one from Texas. Same 2 showed up in Albuquerque later in the day. Albuquerque needs more Superchargers.

    Yoke Steering

From another post: Yoke: before delivery, thought I would be neutral. Hated it for first 150 miles. Took a 416 mile trip the day after delivery. After many frustrating miles, I changed my hand position from top of yoke to bottom - everything changed. No more false turn signals, horn, or washer...

Yep. Driver door icon was not lit - had to use manual release. Went around and tested front passenger door. Worked fine. Went back to driver door - worked fine. Rebooted anyway. Ok now. Firmware gremlins?

    Model S Plaid/LR 2021 Refresh Issues Thread

No issues for me at delivery - none. Did see battery overcharging (92% with 90% requested) and range irregularities. Car sat in the garage, plugged in, drawing 5-8 amps for two days but showed no charging - curious - never saw this with my P85 or 100D. 32.5 loaded yesterday. Overcharging...

Efficiency report: Used 3 years of TeslaFi data from old S100D to compare with new Plaid (19") (only 1 trip's worth of Plaid data so far). Similar speeds and weather conditions - as close to a valid comparison as I can achieve. Used Chill mode for entire trip. Leg 1: 121 miles - 1/2 curvy...

    2018 Model S 100D - Texas - Free Supercharging

Don't know how Tesla handles trades with anyone else, but my first offer was $56k, expired after 30 days. Second offer was $51k, expired after 30 days. Final offer was $52.6, executed on Aug 27th. Texas charges 6.25% sales tax and value of trade-in is not taxed. Net to me is 6.25% more...
