I can't imagine why they would. Tesla takes all trade-in vehicles to auction vs. selling them retail the way other dealerships or used car companies do. You trade in for convenience, not $$$

I would call or go in to the location and specifically ask to speak to your SA. The number you're texting is just a generic line, not their actual number, and is not an efficient way to get answers.

Virtually everything looks at purchase date, which is delivery date. No one (outside of Tesla... and even then do they?) really cares when you ordered the car.

Got a VIN yesterday, paid today, taking delivery Friday (hopefully). I have no idea if this random occurrence is tied to my overnight test drive/gently hassling the SAs about my wait in-person. Tesla is a fickle goddess.

I have always had way more success speaking to Delivery teams. They seem (?) to have way more insight into what's going on behind the scenes. SAs probably either don't have access to the same information or don't know how to use it—second one is my guess since the knowledge level seems to...
