Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

Where did you obtain your MCU2upgrade ( SC) ? I am Interested to know the procedure used because my SC in France said they don’t have procédure to upgrade MCU1 to MCU2 if HW3 already installed ;)

Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

No my S100D (FSD) built late 2017 have MCU1. And because SC first upgrade HW2.5 to HW3, they said now cannot upgrade with MCU2 !! Good process is first MCU1 to MCU2 and after HW2 or HW2.5 to HW3.

Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

In Europe at the moment SC said it is impossible to upgrade MCU1 to MCU2 if the car is already equiped with HW3 Écluse they don’t have procédure ! It’s only possible to upgrade first MCU to MCU2 and after HW2.0 or 2.5 to HW3 !

MCU2 upgrade possible after FSD upgrade?

France SC don’t accept to upgrade my MCU to MCU2 already equipped with HW3 ( FSD) because they don’t received the procedure. They also said it is impossible to go back to HW2.5 momentarily!

    HW3 Upgrade from HW 2.5 with MCU1

    HW3 Upgrade from HW 2.5 with MCU1

Do you mean special maps for traffic lights and stop signs ? Or map updated for running autopilot ?

    HW3 Upgrade from HW 2.5 with MCU1

Yes but unfortunately infotainment MCU2 upgrade is not possible at the moment in Europe. We have to wait for it. But if it’s the only solution to have FSD visualisation, MCU2 upgrade would be free of charge for those like me with FSD option !?

    HW3 Upgrade from HW 2.5 with MCU1

I got last week upgrade HW2.5 to HW3.0 on Model S100D with MCU1 - end 2017, but the systèm don’t see cones, traffic lights, stop sign or horizontal road signs ! What’s going wrong ? I don’t have parameter option to visualise FSD sign ! (Firmware version: 2020.20.12
