Summon failed and hit my garage.

I've turned Summon off completely, for now. Too buggy for my taste and the fit in my garage is too tight for it to work even using the "tight spaces" option. Really how lazy are we that we need a car to pull itself in and out of the garage ? Yes it is very cool and exciting, but disappoints...

    Rear Ended today,

@Max Don't understand "bumping" an unrelated thread ? What does "bumping" mean in this context ? The thread was found using a Google search for "Geico problems" or similar string. ************************************** How does one get a loss of value claim ? My 2015 was rear ended requiring...

    Rear Ended today,

Recently some drug intoxicated idiot struck the car behind me which then struck the back of my model S (2015). Caused enough damage to require a bumper cover replacement (BTW Tesla parts are not shipped painted nor do they make a Titanium paint so the shop has to match it). The idiot is insured...

The Paint is Soft ? I've been told by a well respected detail system that the paint is subject to scratching and requires special care. This is a guy who handles very expensive porsches, mercedes etc. Apparently it's due to California emission regulations on solvent emissions. I don't think...

    Solar Presentation.... Feedback please

I'd just went through the solar dance with three different companies. That was a learning experience in and of itself. None of them were keen on installing a solar battery backup system. In fact I'm still looking for someone to do that part of the job. I think everyone is awaiting the...

Tesla Forum Still off line Before I bought my first tesla Model S I went to fashion Island in Newport Beach and asked the salesman how to arrange a test drive. He condescended to respond to me that they only allow interested buyers to test drive their cars. I suspect he said that because I...

@TexasEV, It would be no great loss, as you say, except that Tesla managers sometimes read that forum. Once I posted that my charging cable was getting very hot and the service manager from costa mesa called me and told me that he's sending someone over right away to change it. He did. If...

Teslamotors.com forum has been down for days. When the forum is down there should be a redirect to a page stating that the forum is down for update and should try again on such and such a date. Instead it is simply redirected to the teslamotors.com index page. I suspect something went...

The Great HOV Sticker Hack (making your HOV stickers removable)

Why not be compliant with the law and use the original HOV sticker instead of a copy. That's what I did and it seems to stick quite nicely and is removable. If you loose one you can always get it replaced.

    PowerPack... for home! Why not?

Thanks I'll remember that. How do you factor in the angle of the sun to come up with a real number of KW/day generated ?

    PowerPack... for home! Why not?

GEEZ, how big of a roof do you own ? I just had solar city tell me that my home which is 3000 SQ can fit but 57 panels which would give me a 15.5 KW system. Ten hours of sun per day would give me 155 KW per day. But because of the roof configuration he later lowered it to 44 panels which...

    PowerPack... for home! Why not?

Sorry I meant Powerwall, of course. That's what I get for posting so late at night. BTW I am reading on Solar City Website that you can use your powerwall at any time. What it costs you depends on which plan you choose with solar city. However, I am fairly certain that my salesman stressed...

    PowerPack... for home! Why not?

I've been trying to order a powerpack from Solar city to be installed with my solar installation. They are not avaiable until after January 2016 (if that). Solar City salesman was adamant that I not order the powerpack as it would : 1. delay installation of solar panels until nobody knows...
