It really isn't that hard guys. He talks about single phase as opposed to three phase, so obviously not North America. Perth = Australia. Look up "normal power point" for Australia and it is (I think) 10A at 240V, so probably 8A charging at 240V = 1.9 kW, which isn't great for charging.

7 kW is decent charging power. Many people install Wall Connectors at less than full power, so don't feel you'll be missing anything. I don't recommend using a low power circuit.

For a 48A EVSE like the Tesla Wall Connector, all you need is 6/2 MC cable. See Advice for EV Charging in North America

You’re not likely to have enough wire length to reach inside the Wall Connector even after removing the surface mount box. At some point, you’ll have to wire nut those 8 gauge red and black and bare ground wires to longer 8 gauge wires. Yes, leave the white neutral capped.

Looks good - leaving it plugged in all the time would be preferred. You won't have set any amp rate, the Mobile Connector will advertise a 24A maximum amp rate to the car with that 10-30 adapter.

I've been surpercharging there a few times and I never noticed it.
