We are going to have cameras stuck all over our cars with wires running everywhere, and another computer in the passenger seat for redundancy.

I suppose it depends on how long the cars last. If Tesla has to replace components until FSD level 4 is achieved then they may need to replace things several times. Then consider if additional cameras are required, maybe in the headlights or on the front bumper. Cost of retrofitting something...

Yeah this has been my thought for a while, their liability on upgrades is going to be huge. There is a term for when new purchasers pay for previous purchasers...

Upgrading the cameras has been a complete disaster... now imagine replacing the radar units in every car made since late 2016.

Got my cameras installed today. Based on the invoice they appear to be correct. I haven't picked up my car yet but my Tesla app still shows "ineligible" for FSD beta. Does anyone know if/when that will go away? Do I need to reset my car somehow so the mothership knows the new cameras are installed?

Eventually I got them to check with their parts department and they updated my estimate with the correct part numbers. Now hopefully they'll actually install the correct ones! All is well that ends well I suppose...

Call a SC? I think those days are gone. I asked them to add the correct part# to my invoice and that I'd pay for it. We'll see what they do...

What do you do when Tesla refuses to correct the part # on the invoice? They listed 1034345-00-B for the RH side repeater.

Most people here already had their cameras upgraded/received the invite? I feel like I'm the only one that has not received them and it's because Tesla doesn't recognize my car as being eligible for some reason.

I'd love to see how many people they've upgraded and how many are still waiting on camera upgrades. Then I'd like to see how many cars paid for FSD but still have MCU1.

I requested service again without an invite and got the same canned response... they thank me for my patience but this is really turning me off of Tesla. They could prioritize getting these upgrades done but they don't care about existing customers. What they don't seem to realize is that...
