I posted in the other thread about this. Just updated to 40.2.1 and seems to have fixed the issue.

FYI I got 40.2.1 last night. Phone key has worked flawlessly all day today. Prob 10 entries and no failures. Previously it pretty much failed every time.

I have a similar commute, charge it to 80% each night and forget about it. Depleting the battery more is not good for it (per many discussions here). Just charge it every day to 80 and be happy.
