Sorry for the late response here. I had MCU1 on a 2017 MS. I had upgraded to MCU2 in January 2023 and started having the issue in maybe April or May after the upgrade was done. They replaced it with another MCU2 since I had the 1 year parts warranty still.

SC finally caved and replaced my MCU. Fixed all the issues I've had. No crackling, no loss of audio, no more weird chimes.

I had another similar thread going on this recently. Preconditioning seems to no longer include activation of the battery heater. Some have had limited success with scheduled departure but that only works if you're leaving from a place where you're charging.
