Survey: Why did you pre-order a TESLA Model 3?
It's a Tesla! ... and I could sell it to my better half who was adamant that a new Model S was too expensive. She still thought it was crazy to reserve sight unseen. I figure it's a foot in the door until it's time to replace the SUV and by then I might be able to sell her on a CPO Model X vs...- Crankstart

Battery Format for Model 3 - 18650 commodity cells or large format batteries
GM uses LG Chem flat battery cells in the Volt. Not sure about the Bolt, but expect same/similar- Crankstart

Who pre-ordered before the car was seen?
I reserved site-unseen at the KC store. I arrived two hours after opening. By then, the line was down to 30 from the estimated at 300-400 at opening time.- Crankstart

New Tesla Store in Kansas City
I dropped by for my first test drive Wednesday 3/9. No wait and great experience with friendly staff. Autopilot performance was phenomenal!
