Hi Jason, I would recommend solar as well, will keep the inverter on and charge the battery in the day time, which makes sense and you can stay off grid for longer too, plus like neo1738 says might help stabilize the power flow too once back on grid... where in SA are you ? im from Sandton...

looking to buy powerwall2 internal pcb's long story short, baught out of warranty PW2 + GW2 as faulty and looking to try repair I need the inverter board TPN is 1110104-61-F Rev02 and the small comms board is 1110692-61-G Rev01 only issue is im in the UK so shipping might be problem but...

Hi @Chamara did you get it installed ? the GW1 should have a nurino wifi CT clamp inside so can disconnect RS485 bus and connect via wifi how much did installers quote you to install ?

Hi from what I have heard the LTE modem in inside the MCU2, connected via what looks like a m2 connector, they are all the same for M3 MY and MCU2's ... It also looks like its an eSim, but I have seen versions of the board with soldered on sim slot instead of the eSim chip ...
