Tesla Is Finally Updating Its Autopark Feature by The End of This Month

Well, end of Sept has come and gone, and no updated, improved Summon. Not that I expected it, but it would certainly be nice if Musk would consider implementing more realistic timelines, or at least not continue to validate his reputation for inaccuracy so often. I understand the software...

Late 2016 / Early 2017 S Owners: How Are Your Daytime Running Lights Holding Up?

The original individual LED DRLs may last longer, but they are a dated look, IMO. The refresh DRLs look much higher-tech and use newer design...too bad Tesla didn't make sure the quality was where it should be on a 100k car....

The company is parts_link on EBay, and the link to the lights is: https://www.ebay.com/itm/304477398315

Late 2016 / Early 2017 S Owners: How Are Your Daytime Running Lights Holding Up?

Yeah, that's the problem with OCD...I see them when I'm parked, or in the reflection of the car in front of me....but, honestly, just knowing is enough, lol. Every time I see an S with the same issue coming towards me on the road, I feel frustrated at the lack of support and deliberate avoidance...

Late 2016 / Early 2017 S Owners: How Are Your Daytime Running Lights Holding Up?

That's the problem - the DRLs start to malfunction, and this gets worse over time. I wouldn't care if it was symmetrical, but one of my DRLs was 3/4 lit, and the other 1/2 lit - my OCD was killing me lol...

Late 2016 / Early 2017 S Owners: How Are Your Daytime Running Lights Holding Up?

No one said Tesla is selling small batches to EBay sellers....Tesla transitioned to a new production unit, and the supplier had overstock of the old units. This seller is a larger company that deals in surplus auto parts, bought something like 400+ sets. Regardless of the accuracy of that story...

I also got a pair of new lights from that EBay seller. I noticed no revision sticker on the lights, and emailed them. They told me they were revision "G", as they purchased a large number of pairs from the last production run directly from Tesla, as there was an overstock of them once the Matrix...

    Karpathy leaves - what's next for AP/FSD?

Maybe Karpathy felt his contribution to the job was done. Most brilliant folks I watch have a narrow focus of interest. Setting up a functional FSD architecture may have been his. Having lead the development of the 2.0 software rewrite, it may be that most of the work from here forward will now...

"Take control immediately" (not using any Autopilot features)

Tesla needs to have these critical warning messages stay on the screen long enough to read them. I've had several similar instances, and it is soooo frustrating not to be able to actually see what the warning was. I understand that it is likely alerting to an automated system response, and that...

No summon connectivity since FSD Beta 2022.12.3.20

Has anyone else had an issue with summon being unable to connect to the vehicle after installing FSD Beta 2022.12.3.20 ? I use summon all the time to help park my 2017 Model S, as well as my 2019 Model 3, so both will fit in my garage. There have been no connectivity issues on the Model 3 - same...

Superchargers in Southern California (location speculation)

Supercharging is very important to me in So Cal. We drive a lot here, and I do have a level 2 at my home. That said, I also have free supercharging on my S, and a supercharger 3 miles from my house, and one block from my business - so my fuel expenses on my S are close to zero dollars, no small...

AP2 SIDE REPEATER CAMERAS, MODEL S

I have no idea if the turn signal connector on the AP1 vehicles is the same as the turn signal / camera connector on the AP2 vehicles - but I would assume they are different, as it needs to transmit camera data in addition to powering the turn signal, which requires additional circuits...

AP2 SIDE REPEATER CAMERAS, MODEL S

The Model Y cameras are plug and play on my 2017 Model S with AP2 / MCU2 upgrade / HW3 upgrade. AP1 vehicles do not have repeater cameras - they use the Mobileye processor with front camera only, so you cannot add repeater or B-pillar cameras to that system.

Tesla removed ability to have extra shortcuts in the App?

I can add a 5th, but I was never able to add a 6th, so it's the same for me...
