    FS: 2018 (Dec 2017) Model X 75D (with aftermarket extras) - $79,495

We are the first and only owners of the car and have taken care of it with painstaking detail (manually detailing the car at least 1x/week). This is a car that falls into the 3% of vehicles with an “Excellent” rating on Kelly Blue Book. The car was delivered on December 26, 2017, which makes...

NTSB Wants Information on Tesla Autopilot Accident

A manual isn't the answer in terms of User Experience. Someone else suggested a required video course to be watched before using the feature...and while that has it's drawbacks, that's a way better UX and way more effective than hoping people go to the right page in the manual IMHO

NTSB Wants Information on Tesla Autopilot Accident

Expecting everyone to read every page of a dry-as-hell manual is ridiculous. There's a reason the phrase "RTFM" exists - because most people don't and never will. Personally, I think a major problem with the function is it's name. Calling it "autopilot" just sounds like you can set it and...

NTSB Wants Information on Tesla Autopilot Accident

I'm really confused why anyone would go with any setting that's not 7 on a highway...? I want to be safe as hell in my car, especially while I'm not directly in control. It's best practice, anyway, to always follow at 1 carlength/10 MPH, and on the highway I can't think of any reason why I...

NTSB Wants Information on Tesla Autopilot Accident

I still feel way safer with AP2 on while driving, than not using it. It's good to see these stories to know the limitations of the tool I'm using, but damn that tool is still super powerful

    Tesla Financing Tip

Bingo - it's something I always struggle with because my risk tolerance is through the roof compared to most people.

    Tesla Financing Tip

Generally, I agree with you. But it is important to note that just because you know wealthy people who didn't behave that way, doesn't mean that there aren't wealthy people who have over-leveraged themselves as a kick in the ass. In my network, there are quite a few people who have done...

    Tesla Financing Tip

This was the biggest shock for me. Apparently, never having a huge car loan is something that lenders don't like to see. Found that crazy since I have a mortgage, and 15 years using credit cards with never a late payment and carrying some pretty impressive balances (100k+ in credit card spend...

    2017 Premium Upgrades Package (PUP)

So I went without the PUP, and the self-presenting door is the only feature we are sorely missing. It would satisfy the desire for me if the fob had a button to open the front doors, too. Of all the PUP features, this is the one we miss the most. So, in retrospect, it wasn't worth it because...
