    Charge using dryer outlet?

My buddy said that they had to install a subpanel to do 240v charging at his house (with a separate shut off lever). Is this not a requirement for EV charging? I'm not clear on this. I agree since it's a rental home probably way too much headache to rewire dryer circuit. I'll go get some quotes...

    Charge using dryer outlet?

Problem is the dang 30amp dryer plug is upstairs in the opposite corner of the house (so would have to run a 75-100ft extension cord through the house...which is a no from the wife.

    Charge using dryer outlet?

Thank you for letting me know what the realistic options are. Regardless I'm going to have to get an electrician to do all the wiring. Not willing to invest in 240v since I'll have to pay for a subpanel installation at my expense. The Tesla Wall Connector might be a good idea since I can take...

    Charge using dryer outlet?

So we just rented a house in California that only has Level 1 charging (previously was in apartment complex with Level 2 charging). Since we don't own the home, we don't want to spend a big chunk of money to rewire for Level 2 charging....landlord isn't going to chip in so it'll be at our...

Stopped Roof Rack Noise & Whistle

I’m noticing a ton of wind noise from the Tesla roof rack at above 50mph. Anything I can do to reduce the noise? Not interested in taking roof rack on and off year round.

Camping mattress to sleep in Model Y?

Can the foam mattress be stuffed inside the subtrunk or is it too big for that?

Camping mattress to sleep in Model Y?

Wondering if anyone has used this product in their Model Y for camping, it's a self-inflating air mattress: link My family of 2 adults + 1 infant is going car camping and since it might be chilly at night we'll use the car camp mode. I'm debating whether to get the double size (52" width) vs 2...

    Seatbelt Buckle Guard for carseat?

Just an update: I bought the device linked above and it fit snugly over the carseat's belt buckle to prevent the middle passenger from accidentally unbuckling the carseat. In case any parents are looking for similar device.

    Seatbelt Buckle Guard for carseat?

I have a carseat installed in the rear passenger (right side) for my kiddo. The problem is that sometimes the passenger sitting in the middle will accidentally unclip the seat belt for both the middle seat & the carseat. This will require me to spend the next 5 minutes to reinstall the carseat...

    MYP uneven tire wear

I've already DIY the plug but still having decent amount of leak 2-3 psi a day. Even if I could fully seal the leak my two rear tires are still pretty worn out for the inner surface. Might have to bite the bullet and get new tires since this is the family car and the wife probably can't manage a...

    MYP uneven tire wear

I have a 2022 MYP riding on 19" Gemini wheels (stock OEM tires). Recently the car got an unpatchable tire puncture in the rear tire (America's Tire refused to patch it due to location of the hole). Even though the tires only have 10k miles on them, both rear tires are showing significantly worse...

Flat tire replacement for stock 19" Gemini?

Yes I really like the plug kit since the MY has mud flaps and the traditional way of patching (puncture tool, insert the patch, cement, trim) would be quite difficult with the mud flaps in the way due to limited clearance.

Flat tire replacement for stock 19" Gemini?

Not ashamed to admit this was first patch attempt. I used this plug kit: https://www.amazon.com/Victor-22-5-60204-8-Plug-Tire-Repair/dp/B00CRCQFPS Unfortunately since it was late at night and dark I might have chosen the smaller plug instead of the larger one? What hit the tire was a 2" screw...
