Tesla Collision Center refusing to let me choose what's fixed (and not fixed)

They started on the car before telling me about this headlight and said it was all or nothing, and since they had already started, it was all. Yeah, it's not a huge deal, but I think it's worth sharing these stories so at people have a chance to be aware of their undocumented policies. I...

Tesla Collision Center refusing to let me choose what's fixed (and not fixed)

They completed the job before communicating this. A coyote ran out in front of me on the highway at full speed across the road (unlit rural section). It seems like they would be open to accepting my used headlight for use if safety, not revenue, was the concern. Yes @ucmndd , I got the check...

Tesla Collision Center refusing to let me choose what's fixed (and not fixed)

Yes, that's normal (if you own your car). If you don't believe me, check out pretty much every result here: do i have to get my car fixed with insurance check - Google Search I also could have refused to do any of the fixes with tesla and just drive around the car, so keeping that headlight...

Tesla Collision Center refusing to let me choose what's fixed (and not fixed)

Yes, but I own the vehicle, so the payment from insurance will be made to me.

Tesla Collision Center refusing to let me choose what's fixed (and not fixed)

Thanks @ATPMSD! The part alone for one headlight is $1210+tax (and maybe plus labor?). I disagree that there's a legitimate threat of a lawsuit for not fixing something, and I think it's being used as an excuse to not be flexible. They didn't directly refuse, they just say, they took a look and...

Tesla Collision Center refusing to let me choose what's fixed (and not fixed)

My bumper is being repaired, and the headlight has one mounting tab that is broken. Tesla Collision is saying they have to fix everything on the car that's damaged. I don't want to pay $1210 for a headlight, especially when this one is actually working and just has minor damage, and I can fix it...

    Squeaky side mirror?

I went ahead and tried @acalis's suggestion of tightening the bolts and it seems to have fixed the issue! I did apply some various lubricants in different places once it had quieted down, so that could have helped too, but it seems like the mirror was just moving too much due to loose bolts. I...

    Squeaky side mirror?

Did you figure this out @beatle? My mirrors also seem to squeak when I open the doors. I think it's two mirror housing parts moving against themselves. I've tried silicone lubricant and it actually made it worse.

Does Anyone Have Pictures or Experience w/ Exped Megamat Auto/Duo in a Model S?

I know this is an old thread, but just in case it helps someone, here's some pics of the Megamat Duo 10 medium on reddit:

    2017 75D A/C issue in AZ Summer.

Thanks for posting this. I had the same issue and they diagnosed it remotely and it seems to be fixed for me after they replaced this same part.

    2022.8.10.1 on MCU1

I just installed this update and it seems quite a bit faster so far from a minute of playing with it, although I haven't driven the car yet. Voice navigation worked on the first try for the first time in years! I have an MCU2 upgrade scheduled, but I think I may cancel it if this performs as...

Who is also stuck on 2020.48.37.6 ?

I'm also stuck on 2020.48. Are we missing out on any features besides FSD beta? I'm assuming they've made some other feature releases, including AP improvements during this time. I'm curious how significant these ~11 months of updates are. Is voice nav working for anyone else? Voice commands on...

Replacing cabin air filter on updated Model S

Thanks for the instructions. Took me 30-40 minutes without experience. I don't know how much the Telsa filter costs, but this filter worked fine for me: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W5WFBN1 In my 2017 I ended up using a T15, not a T20. I also used my fingers instead of a panel removal...

    Traded in C7 Z06 for M3P

I came from a C6 Z here. I'd love to see car's real world 0-60 times, instead of magazine/record times. I'd guess mine averaged in the 5's. My Tesla is drastically faster for me than my Corvette, at least until the Corvette hooks (~40-60 mph). I don't care one bit about 60-120 speed, when I'm...

After market audio for Tesla Model S - Standard Audio

I saw your thread when you posted it, and got my NVX sub installed since then in my base system, and was meaning to post an update in your thread once I got my sub installed. I'm really happy with the NVX sub. ~$880 from EVSmotors + ~$280 install (which I think was a great deal). The output is...
