    Green paint, black interior...?

There are 3 green with black interior Model S's showing on ev-cpo.com right now, including a P85D. Only the P85D has a black headliner, as the earlier models had white headliner regardless of seat color. BTW, I love my green P-85+ with grey interior - classiest combo!

    Green color Model S

I like the rarity of my green P85+ here in CA, where you see Model S’s everywhere... they’re all white, grey or red. The green also has slight bluish highlights in the sun; it’s a more interesting color than its name would suggest.

    Software Update 2018.14

I have the old MCU and just got the .14 update yesterday. Just to let you know, cnn.com comes up for me...eventually. It does take a minute or so before anything appears. I assume you have LTE and not the old 3G module...

    Hub motors, will it happen?

There are multiple technical challenges to in-hub motors while the benefits are comparatively marginal... Challenges: - Tough operating environment (shock, vibration, weather, heat from co-located friction brakes) for durability - Space/weight constraints - ok, you fit the motor in there, now...

Where do you put your sunglasses?

That makes sense as to why the well is there, but it's nice that the Tesla umbrella is the right size to fit that location... I have much more use for the umbrella than the adapter - even in SoCal.

Where do you put your sunglasses?

I also got the Tesla logo compact umbrella in my swag bag at delivery, and found the spot I think Tesla intended for it: the left side of the glovebox. The compartment has a well there that is the perfect depth and width to hold the umbrella with the handle facing out...and within reach of the...

    Retrofit to Black Alcantara Headliner?

One alternative if you're into DIY is to remove the headliner and paint it black. The gentlemen building his model S from salvage did this and seemed satisfied with the results...here's the thread: Repairing a Flooded Tesla Model S : HOW-TO

    Regen braking and brake lights

My experience is that at freeway speeds, gradually lifting off the accelerator tends to keep the brake lights off, while lifting quickly makes them light up. I don't know if this is software driven or because the car has an accelerometer and keeps them off below some threshold...or if it's all...

    CPO vs New and Autopilot?!

To answer your first question, I bought a 2014 P85+ under the CPO program and it was the first car I've bought used in 30+ years. The factors contributing to my decision: - I wanted a car that would give me a driving experience most like the BMW M3 I was replacing (i.e., rear drive, firm ride...

What car/s did you come from?

Replaced my 2002 BMW M3 convertible; had 160K miles on it; loved the car but the repair bills were getting painful, so I got out before the SMG tranny finally died. That car was a great SoCal experience, handled beautifully, extremely well put together. I replaced her with a P85+ CPO that...

    Unable to Update Software

Just last week, my car stopped updating google maps and traffic, so I called the service center and told them I thought I needed an update to get the new API for google maps. They looked up my car and confirmed I needed an update, so they called Fremont to have the latest update pushed to my...

Change out Piano Black for Carbon Fiber trim

I've been thinking about replacing my dash top pad with one that has the alcantara insert (like the one in the video). Once you have the front of the pad loose as shown in the video, is there much more to removing and replacing it?

New 21" Arachnid Wheel and Tire Package

IIRC, the description on shop.teslamotors.com stated that the package was a staggered setup with 245s and 265s. Also, I noticed the photos above in a thread on PSSs replacing PS2s from the factory and that Michelin was releasing these new sizes this summer for the aftermarket. Seems like...

    Michelin Pilot Super Sports

The Michelin specs state than minimum wheel width for the 285/30R-21 size is 9.5", so it's probably not a good idea to try to squeeze those onto the stock 9" wide rims.

    Retrofit Bumper and LED

Referring to the 'Order your Tesla Model S" page, it states that "full LED headlamps" are standard equipment and "Three-position dynamic LED turning lights for nighttime visibility" are part of the $3000 Premium Upgrades Package. I interpret this to mean that fixed pattern LED headlights are...
