Just to report that high-res USB playback is STILL BROKEN following the "Christmas" software update to 2020.48.12.1 (at least, on my car). FWIW: I have reported this issue to Tesla multiple times now. I eventually had someone asking me to provide audio samples that would replicate the issue...

Very possibly, but this is the latest firmware for my two Teslas (these are both AP1.0 - perhaps that's why?). In any case, I'm now in a state where a Tesla firmware update has removed functionality from my vehicle…

Many thanks for confirming my suspicions! Much appreciated… This raises an interesting legal issue: conventional cars generally get worse with time, whereas Tesla claims that - thanks to its over-the-air software updates - its vehicles get better with time. That's until they go and break...

Interesting, Richard - thanks for trying that. I’ve checked and it looks as if my firmware is older than yours: I have 2030.36.11 - so perhaps this was a bug that got fixed? Interesting to hear other people’s experiences - thanks again!
