Model X order: delivery date keeps sliding

My model X delivery date keeps sliding: first it was Feb, then May, now October ... did I miss a step in the order process? (i.e. they keep pushing me back to the end of the queue)?

    Autopilot: where's the bicycles?

Over the last several updates, the autopilot now shows garbage cans, detailed shapes of cars, traffic cones, streetlights -- and their state .... and every single bicyclist shows up not at all. Granted, I only checked this a few times in a fair case (7 or so) .... but: on the screen it seems to...

    Charging keeps stopping.

I am experiencing the same issue M3. Facts: 1) car charges flawlessly every night on its dedicated scheduled charge 2) car simply stops without any messages at all only after attempting a manual - start - charge (either through the app or in the car) 3) This car has *2* phones connected to the...

Anyone switching to a Rivian R1T after watching reviews?

Choices, choices... R1T: right size (I don't need nor can I really fit a full size truck), and in the primary market I want (off-road, camping) it is well ahead of CT in amenities and details. CT: just plain ugly IMHO, perhaps it looks better in person just like the R1T. I'd love to see it...

    Rivian Vs Tesla

Well, this is rather disappointing - more like a bomb: It was just announced Rivian, best config @ launch, will be 300 miles. Any "Adventure" Tesla owner will tell you: that's not enough. Trailer? cut range in half. Cold weather? Cut range in ... ouch. I am seriously less interested now.

Best Bike Rack for Model X

Yeah, for that you will want the wheels top accessory, and the FENDER kit, which is.... um, two foam rollers with soft velcro on top :-). Your front wheel would be fine with the stop, for the rear position the arm with said foam on the spindle just above the red tail light on the fender (YMMV on...

    Beware of rotten egg odor

Went into the garage and almost vomited. What a smell. I thought perhaps a dead animal, but correlation is not to be overlooked: model X says: "12V Battery needs to be replaced ASAP"

General Sticky "Glossary" Page for TMC?

Where could one post and have the community update a generic sticky glossary page (or pages). For example, I've owned a Model X for 4 years, and had no idea what a "MCU" was when people starting complaining about it (I had to go hunt it down). The glossary would contain most common terms, even...

Family of 5: 6 Seats or 7 Seats

We've owned our X for 4+ years, and "crawling" between the two middle seats is in fact far superior. In fact, if you are a larger size individual, you will never fit between the seat pulled all the way forward, and the back door frame. Better to push the seat all the way back, and enter through...

    Cybertruck staying full size

True, there's no paint to take care of -- rather preservation of the batteries (they age far, far faster in 100 deg heat) -- and charge convenience.

    Cybertruck staying full size

I am torn: a full size CT leaves me 1 inch clearance between the garage door and the rear wall (and tesla charger). Most likely, a few inches either side the wall and tesla next to it. Is that doable? Also, it is so ugly, but I have 1.5 years? for it to grow on me...

What’s the average Wh/mi you are getting

19" Sport, very consistent 275 wh/mile. I cannot tell from all of these posts if that is the wheels, or if something is amiss. Drive mix is quite normal. We definitely are not getting 310 miles of range. Interesting note: an *unloaded* 1up-USA double bike rack on the back (connected to torklift...

    HPWC Issue, no LED lights

Are you using ferrules? After round #1 ignoring "ferrules are recommended" in the manual I would say: "Ferrules are mandatory".

Braking distance concern by Consumer Reports

I refuse to buy this car because its stopping distance is too close to a standard pickup!... said no car buyer EVER.

Model X Crash on US-101 (Mountain View, CA)

Let's see, the speed of CalTrans .... I filed a fixit that the northbound 280 -> 17 south interchange was extremely dangerous: it was completely unlit, with a steep incline at the fork. It needed light, or paint. Drivers *routinely* swerve onto the 17 south ramp when they realize they missed it...
