    PEM FAN Connector pin identification

The yellow coded cables belonged to the PEM fan, the red ones to the motor fan (was changed to one fan later). Black almost always is used for minus. In the new design the blacks and yellow/red are combined. Any data on the Model 3 fan. I assume it will draw to much amps and best case blow the...

    Seats (interior) color codes

Does anyone have color code(s) for the seats? I'm getting mine upholstered and I don't want the guy to cut a little piece out from the backside to determine the exact color... It's a Jet Black (car color) 2009 2.0 EU VIN SFZRE2B1XA3000112 Signature. Seats are one color: black (but what black...

Overnight Fire at Gruber Motors in Arizona

The most dangerous work might be a level 1 recovery where the pack remains inside the car and is being tried to charge again with "outside" current. EV Mix Nielsen eg wrote to me that he won't perform this kind of operation now anymore rather than taking the pack out of the car and then trying...

Overnight Fire at Gruber Motors in Arizona

Carl Medlock just updates his report. 30 Roadsters lost plus 10 additional cars (I assume older S and X). Man, what a loss. Feeling so sorry for all the owners :/

    Roadster PEM failure

1.5ers have a different setup for charging (part of the motor coil is used) and the PEM is different partly in design and supposed to had "military grade" capacitors eg.... (better than the later 2.x) From the messages I'm not really sure if it is an insulation (not isolation, we German...

    Roadster History Europe/APAC

Another difference is the head lights, especially the Xenons. US are much stronger / brighter compared to EU due to regulations for Xenons without automatic cleaning system... Especially for the "northern" 2.x a so called "snow dam" was added by Tesla to reduce the amount of debris in the air...

Powertrain Problem; ID 276; BSM: V_ESS Too Low During Precharge

since 1.5ers use part of the coil of the motor when charging (TZero patent) that makes sense. Otherwise it sounds much for trouble (moisture) in the DC/DC converter in the front. One guy disassembled it and changed the faulty parts; can't find it back but I guess it was on the Facebook Roadster...

    Roadster History North America

Sad to see Roadsters still being in a repairable condition to be ripped for parts.
