ok this is a strange one. On my 2017 Tesla Model S the charge port door will only open with the app. It will not open with keyfob, on screen, charging cable, etc.. only when I use the Aroid App.

Any updates on this? I have the same issue

Any solution hete? Have the same issue on a refresh 2016 replaced inlet port no difference.

Finally figured it out. There is a relay K31 located beside the 12v battery that contains relays for both left and right side fan controllers. Replaced the relay and that fixed it

What do you mean exactly by the metallic Disc?

I have the same problem in a refresh 2016 What did you finally end up finding as the cause?
