Vampire Drain? Simple way of checking it ...

Are you talking about the line on the chart? That’s not at 142, it’s between 139 and 140, and it is different than the constant used by the car to map kW to charge ‘speed’ and to map kWh of energy added to km of range added. That constant is 219 Wh/mi for SR+ (136.08 Wh/km) which is lower than...

Vampire Drain? Simple way of checking it ...

If you add ~10.5 kWh to the battery (according to the charge screen) and then immediately use all of that energy, the trip meter will show ~10kWh used. This 5% loss is automatic. Nothing to do with vampire drain, just how the car works. It will then take you another 10.5kWh (according to the...

Vampire Drain? Simple way of checking it ...

Ya, that’s 136.08 DC iWh/km. It’s a smaller number for oWh/km though, which is what the trip meter presumably is ‘measuring’. i = in o = out

Vampire Drain? Simple way of checking it ...

Ya my assumption here is I that one (the?) reason the meter reading is using a smaller constant than the charge screen is to account for average losses on the output side (which includes regen coming back in and being inefficient, as well as general battery in/out inefficiency). Much like it’s...

Vampire Drain? Simple way of checking it ...

@TimothyHW3 he doesn't sound confused at all. @TomLee, what you are 'measuring' here with that technique is all losses -- which is vampire drain PLUS losses going in/out of the battery (any drivetrain inefficiency or regen inefficiency) while driving. With this method you would get more...

    Tesla API Token Generator

My curl command that worked (I think) had: -F "token=$access_token" "https://owner-api.teslamotors.com/oauth/revoke" What are you trying? EDIT: Hmm... I can't remember if that worked or an iOS shortcut that required a further tweak. I do remember there being some small difference vs what the...

    Model S REST API

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe something to do with form data vs JSON command? I'm just using curl with form data. Just tried it right now, vent, close, vent, close ... all worked. Window status changed as per fd_window, etc. in vehicle_state.

    Model S REST API

Tried it and window_control worked just fine with only command=[vent|close] with no lat/long specified or included at all. e.g. open: /window_control?command=vent close: /window_control?command=close ... but as actual form data, not in the URL. It does seem to pass it along in the URL to the...

Turning on rear vents for AC

It’s not EQUALLY as fast. Stop saying that, it’s incorrect. You’ve already stipulated this in prior posts. “Comfortable” will equate to some temperature warmer or cooler than it currently is. “Auto” will taper at some point, thus delaying getting to that ‘comfortable’ temp, even if...

    Model S REST API

Ha, perhaps if you are across the country they figure you shouldn’t vent the windows since you don’t know if it’s pouring rain :D. ... I may play with this today and report my findings if lat/long matter. Thanks again!

Turning on rear vents for AC

Again, agreeing with me. ALMOST the same thing. So if you want the absolute fastest, you do it the way people are making fun of and say has no effect. It has an effect. That’s my point. No, because it tapers to not overshoot once it get close, it doesn’t do it as fast as possible. To reach it...

Turning on rear vents for AC

You say I’m speculating and probably wrong, then you actually agree with me and say it probably tapers. It tapers to not overshoot. If you want to get from 10C to 20C the absolute fastest, it would be faster to set it to HI, then to set it to 20C, because of the taper that you just agreed with...

Traffic aware cruise control - initial set speed?

It’s a convenience feature to have the speed set to your desired offset. If you don’t want that, set a large negative offset and you’ll get initial speed to your current speed. Easy. You can do it both ways. I like it the way it is.

    Model S REST API

Awesome. So I had the command URL guessed, but they’ve got a few extra params in there in addition to ‘command’. Oh, and I tried vent/close ... but with ‘state’ not ‘command’. I was THIS close :) What’s the purpose of lat/long? Does it store location-based memory of the setting??

110 Charging stuck on white T

Try a plug at someone else’s house as well, just to gather one more data point. If it doesn’t work at another location then it’s gotta be the “charger” (mobile connector), if it does work, save yourself a trip to the SC and fix whatever is wrong at home. Question on par with “did you turn it...
