    New headlights retrofit

Well I don’t know for sure, but if I look up the headlights for a US Model 3 on the Tesla Parts Catalog it’s a different part number to if I look up a AU Model 3: US Model 3: - Left: 1514952-00-E - Right: 1514953-00-E AU Model 3: - Left: 1514952-10-E - Right: 1514953-10-E My understanding is...

    New headlights retrofit

I’m looking to attempt the same thing in my 2019 RHD 3 in Australia. From my research you’ll need a special Ethernet cable. I bought this one off Amazon, it’s arrived but I haven’t tried it yet: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/aw/d/B0CGDQGL5H?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title Based on what I’m...

2022 Tesla Model 3 LR Projector to Matrix headlight retrofit

This is awesome! Can you elaborate a bit more on the need for an ethernet diagnostic cable? Why was it needed? How'd you use it? etc. I also have an Intel MCU and would love to try the retrofit so trying to gather as much info as possible.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

As of 2024.2.2.1, I've noticed that as I approach the car, it seems to know I'm approaching and 'turns on' ie. I hear the 'thunk' sound of the high voltage contactors engaging. I've observed it twice and in both cases the car was left over night, 'off', not charging and I hadn't interacted with...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

This happens so often in so many places and there's no way to stop the indicator except turning auto pilot off entirely. It's probably the worst bug.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

That’s partially true, Tesla only use Google Maps’ map tiles (ie. the road graphics) the actual navigation is done by MapBox. The Tesla nav would be so much better if it was just straight Google Maps and their navigation routing too.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

At some point, before the holiday update, my home and saved favourites all disappeared. I only noticed because I happen to check the app at home and saw sentry mode on. After the first holiday update I received (2023.44.30.2) the home address was intact but the favourites disappeared at some...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Is it just me or are the favourited locations in the nav continually being deleted (2023.44.30.2)? My car is installing 2023.44.30.5.1 as I type, hopefully it fixes this because I need the favourites to stop sentry mode from turning on at those locations.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

So we don't get High Fidelity Park Assist (HFPA) but we get the reversing guide lines on the vehicle visualisation 😂

    Glitchy Touch Screen

I suggest you to give the screen a thorough clean, hopefully it’s just some dirt causing the phantom touches. If you have any phone mount (MagSafe) near or attached to the screen I’d remove it. If you’ve made sure absolutely nothing could be touch, applying pressure or interfering with the...

    New headlights retrofit

I'm also super interested in this as well but, I'm in Australia so I have no idea if any shops here have this kind of access =(

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Surely not? Tesla almost definitely built the in car Spotify app which just uses Spotify’s API to interact with the actual Spotify service.

    Can't save headlight position/calibrate after 2023.38.6/8

Please do report back with your findings. It took me a month of testing to notice that my lights kept changing their levels when I parked and open/closed the door and then a further month to notice that it was that behaviour that seemed to be causing them to drift apart from each other.

    Can't save headlight position/calibrate after 2023.38.6/8

Haha yes it is, that’s my post =D I certainly agree that the calibration seems to go out and that’s what I’m mostly interested about. The headlight leveling issue being discussed here was one easy way for me to bring them back to ‘factory’ levels. I simply entering into headlight adjustment...

Driver side headlight gets lower and lower

The headlights absolutely need to be leveled manually at some point in the manufacturing process, a headlight replacement would definitely require it as well. Tesla's own, free to access service manual, tells you how to do it and the instructions literally make you calibrate them such that...
