    Windshield Defogging issues

The problem was using "Auto" mode. At our service appointment, they told us in that situation to take it off Auto and not use the window defogging button, but simply manually select the window air, turn on AC, and turn the fans to 11.... I think the problem is that when we used the window...

    Windshield Defogging issues

Our HVAC system was able to cool (or heat) the car and to defog at times. The challenge was the inconsistency of the defogging. And, overall, the system had been on auto, and the recirc was turned off....

    Windshield Defogging issues

Came here because we're having a similar problem with our Model S. Driving on a rainy night with system on "Auto" mode and window started fogging up. Turned defogger on, both defrost, and defog mode, and didn't have real effect until manually turning the fan to "11". Left it in that mode...

New vs. Used if ordering now>

[Sorry if this is a repeat message as I already posted something similar to this message - but it appears to be missing] In any case, we just ordered the M3, and hoping it comes in the early part of the Oct-Dec range! We had considered all the other cars listed above (and test drove some of...

New vs. Used if ordering now>

Re: Superchargers, it's more about their availability/ubiquity than ease of use. And, of course, fast charging is nice! We don't need a ton of range for daily driving, but good if we don't have to worry about charging every day in the middle of the winter, so nice to have some cushion. And...

New vs. Used if ordering now>

And, BTW, if anyone has other suggestions for our second car to be any other all-electric car that is a top safety pick + (or equivalent), I'm all ears. But we do like being able to use our home Tesla charger for it, and also like the Supercharger network...

New vs. Used if ordering now>

Thanks for all the advice! To be clear, this is to be my car, for him to drive when he needs to get to his jobs or to school. And he learned to drive on our Model S 100D (my wife's car), so is very used to driving Teslas, and he is an extremely conservative driver (and very risk adverse in...

Thanks!! - That's exactly what I was looking for and couldn't find on my own..

New vs. Used if ordering now>

The federal tax credit wouldn't help us as we need the car before 2023, but great point about the warranty! And I agree about winter tires vs. AWD... Anyone know if there were any meaningful hardware updates between 2018 and 2022? That would make a difference as well...

New vs. Used if ordering now>

We're long time Model S owners, and looking to get a Model 3 as a second car and for our teenage son to drive. Would normally get a used car for this purpose, but it's not clear that makes sense giving used pricing right now, the MA $2500 rebate, and I'm assuming the increased resale value...

    Efficient tires?

As a quick update on the PureContacts - so far so good. We don't drive aggressively at all, so can't say much about performance (as far as I can tell, it's at least as good as any tire we've ever had), so only thing I've been paying attention to is efficiency, and since we've had the tire, we're...

    Efficient tires?

Thanks all! Seems that there are several great choices. And thanks to this thread and post: Conti PureContact™ LS I decided to stick with going with the PureContacts (it had not come up when I searched for "tires" but did when I searched "PureContact"). If folks are curious, I could post...

    Efficient tires?

Looking to maximize range and the ecological properties of the tires as much as possible without compromising safety....

    Efficient tires?

Am looking for all-season tires to complement our winter tires (so maybe 3-season tires for here in New England), and I've found a lot of great threads here on the most quiet tires, but relatively little info on which tires are more efficient (i.e. less rolling resistance -> greater range). Of...

Hitch (Ecohitch) Installer west of Boston?

Yes - we got that recommendation, and they sound great, but my wife really didn't want to have to go so far. Hard to believe that there's no one local who's willing and able to do a good job installing this...
